Guide to getting an amplifier power cable through the bulkhead
Tools needed:
Socket set
Torx drivers
Piece of stiff wire (or straightened out coat hanger)
Tie wraps
Small adjustable spanner
Roll of electricians tape
Getting the cable through the bulkhead for your amp on the megane 225 is quite easy compared to other cars I've done it on. My 225 actually has a spare hole going through the main wiring harnesses grommet which made things much easier. I suspect this hole may be used by Renault when they fit the Cabasse amplifier in the factory.
The First thing to do as with any electrical job on your car is to remove the positive on the battery.
Next the glovebox needs to come out. The glovebox is held in place by 5 torx screws, 3 inside the compartment and two are hidden. The first hidden one is behind a small clip off panel on the dash and the other is accessed by removing the trim piece at the side of the dash.

First 3 visible screws + 1 hidden behind clip off panel

last screw is behind dashboard side panel
The glove box should now pull straight out, take care not to scratch the dashboard as the plastic marks really easily

Once the glove box is out this is what you should see. The arrow indicates where the pre made hole on my 225 is. pull off the plug and you should see daylight! now get your bit of stiff wire or coat hanger and push it through this hole. If for some reason you don't have the hole in your grommet make a hole in that position with a screwdriver then push your wire through

Round to the engine bay again you will need to remove the battery now which will reveal these three bolts, undo the bolts and remove the battery tray. This is the fiddliest part of the job and requires patience! some of the wiring loom is taped onto this tray but they can easily be removed. The tape goes round a thin tab which you will see on the tray

Next the ECU needs to be moved out of the way as we need to remove the airbox to be able to see the wire we pushed through earlier. There are 4 nuts holding the ECU in place two of which are indicated in the picture above, the other two you will see to the other side of the ECU. Once removed flip the ECU out of the way in the direction shown by the top arrow. The ECU bracket is held in place by two lugs underneath the battery tray and should come out quite easily.
With all that out of the way unclip the cold air feed to the airbox and unscrew the hose clip on top of the airbox. The airbox should now lift out.

The wire we pushed through should now be in view. Next using your electricians tape, tape your amp cable to the wire and pull the cable back through. The amp cable I used was quite small so if your fitting a bigger cable you can smear a bit of fairy liquid on the cable to ease it through the grommet (remember to wipe it off straight away though)

After putting the airbox back and connecting your cold air feed you can refit the ECU bracket and ECU, then drop the battery tray back in place. Then using tie wraps run your amp cable up to the battery terminal with one of the other cables and use one of the connections on the terminal to bolt your amp cable to.

By removing trip panels in the car you can run the cable along with the existing wiring right back to the boot. The cable should fit into the plastic clips that the wiring loom runs in. Once the battery is replaced and your connections made to your amp, stick a fuse in the amp cables holder and your away!
