I've been looking at some pics of black R26's and the bump strips on the doors don't look as tho there painted!! Is this the case as i've seen them in red and they are.

Thanks guys

Hmmm... I just had to go and check! My Cup is standard plastic (and I have some wax marks too :)). Not sure about the R26 though, don't they come with flames up the side too? :D

Do they, WOW, is that because they're loads faster than a 225! :blink

Just felt its renault being cheap, as they colour code the yellow, red and blue. but hey. what do I know.......

I guess, but then they could have colour coded the base plates too..

They have bothered with the roof rails on mine :D

I picked black as the plastic bits blended anyway. The front ones stood out a bit for me on blue (which is what I would have had otherwise).

they are all colour coded, just not painted and lacquered. And the black isnt painted as it doesnt need to be to colour code (if you know what I mean)

I considered getting mine flatted, primed and lacquered - then asked myself why it was done as it is.........I am convinced it is to make the door strips much hader wearing - they are there to protect your doors afterall......and would damage much easier if they were painted

as said all black 225/230s are the same.

I was thinking that they should of come painted but thought the same as rosscoe, if they were painted you would soon have some knob jockey chipping away at your door.... car park offenders!! :rl:

yeah, thats a fair comment, but I hate plastic! It must be colour coded, as the blue, red and yellow have!

from wat i have seem all the R26s and the 225s have got colour coded bump rails but they are not all etched and got a laqure finish on,

alexs new one has got black rails but there just sprayed black, as is darryls new red R26, also the same on the mercury, they are the same colour but the finish does not match,, but the LY on the other hand is.. mine are the same as the doors, ie they are smooth to the touch like the doors and polish up a treat, now i know for a fact that darrys red ones are a mat finish as are alexs but the LY is not... not sure why, maybe cos the paint is an extra from the start, but not sure..
