Hi, anyone tried the Nankang NS-2. Obviously not a swap for the Dunlop Sport Maxx or Michelin Pilot Sport 2 on the Meg but for the wife's Audi A4 Avant 1.9Tdi ? Size wise they would be 225/40/18. I have seen a set of 4 brand new for £224 delivered ??

Nankang NS-2
High preformance tyre manufactured by yokohama. The tyre for high performance in the rain. For powerful saloons, sports cars and customising. High performance, high design, high feelings.
The highlight - innovative double-V tread pattern displaces water swiftly
for high aquaplaning safety
Wide, solid shoulder lugs and high-tech contour provide force distribution

heard they are not to clever at road holding, and traction when pulling away is a bit on the poor side but i think this might be down to the compound of the tyre being on the hard side,

i wouldnt put them on my meg but if shes a steady away driver they should be good

also been reading on a few other forums that they are not very good in the wet?

Read similar after a google search. Kind of flies in the face of the advertising blurb "The tyre for high performance in the rain" and "The highlight - innovative double-V tread pattern displaces water swiftly for high aquaplaning safety".

Think I'll have to go a little up-market then, too many tales of them being crap in the wet. Being in Scotland we get the odd shower !!!

i'd be worried about people spitting on the road, let alone the odd shower ;)

Just had a set of 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE050's (225/40/18) fitted for £430. Surprisingly I went to my local Kwik Fit as they are doing 25% off Bridgestone at the moment. Good enough for the Ferrari Enzo so should be OK on the A4 :-)
