The wife has convinced me to stop ar$ing around and get the car that I want. The R26.
I've been mulling it over, whether or not it makes sense to get rid of an economical Spanish machine for a french rocket. And I guess its time to stop fooling myself that I will keep my beloved Leon TDI Cupra and adventure into the world of the petrol driver.
Am I right to be nervous!?:dazed002: The Leon is a good car, sure its showing signs of age but it is as solid as a rock and you can't ask for much more from the 150bhp lump. But, I'm bored.
So, BMNC it looks like. £15k for a new R26 with Zenon's thrown in. I could resell it after a year and only lose a grand?! crazy pricing :bonkers: , I'll order it tomorrow.

Oh, I do about 60 motorway miles a day, what do you think the MPG would be on a steady 70-80MPH trip?

Should easily get 30mpg on clear motorway at that speed even with clim-a/c on

best I have had on a long trip was 36. If you cane it through little country lanes it will drop to sub 20

I put more fuel in my R26 then I did the 225 for some reason. The R26 just drinks the fuel.

mine drinks fuel, very rarely, if ever see 30mpg. Even at 15k, I'm not sure about having only lost 1k in 12 months.

I do exactly the same amount of motorway miles per day in my 225 F1 and at 80 - 90 I average 31mpg.

Nice one Denty. Thats put my mind at rest. Will order her tomorrow, decided on the Liquid Yellow with no decals.

Cheers to M4tty100, for the meet this evening. + all the info he's given me over the past month or so. Your ride is sweet as mate, when mine arrives we'll meet up for a beer.

Yes our lass is a bit 'gung ho' - 'ho' being the word of choice - just kidding love, if you ever log on and read this..... She's pretty cool when it comes to getting what you want. After all, you only live once and I do believe, I've f%cking earnt it.
Roll on BMNC.

Glad I could help mate. You should reconsider on the grafix though, liquid looks better with them on. If you don't like you can remove them.
