i see it this morning and they said 26 degrees cloudy with chance of off and on showers throught the day, well with the temp that high it might hold off.

The problem with that website is that forecasts are based purely on data, there is no interpretation by a meteorologist. If you look at the Met Offices forecast it says it will be "Sunny Intervals" which basically means it will be mostly cloudy all day, but certainly not heavy rain. The weather in the UK is peculiar at the best of times, being an Island with Artic winds at one end and the gulf stream at the other, and betting on a 5 day forecast is a bit dodgy because everything could change by then. Best thing to do is look at the Atlantic pressure charts, and look out for the weather fronts, 9 times out of ten these are where the rain occurs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/pressure/#no_url

BBC on sky this morning gave cloud but no rain. I guess we will only know for sure on friday/saturdays forecast. Last time I went to rockingham I drove through load of rain to get there and it was gloriously sunny all day in Corby!

just come back from Stamford today.. had a quick trip via Rockingham on the way back and was very cloudy with a few showers..
