Well anyone who went last year will probably agree the organisation of the show this year was far better. Got into the site with minimal queueing especially considering the location of the Rockingham venue.

We had some initial problems with the stand as basically it wasnt big enough! Luckily thanks to Dave we got sorted in the end and also pinched a bit of the pug 106 stand.

Had a quick look around the trade stands and went up to cliosport to catch up with a few folks then it was time for the track session! It was quite interesting at times with the AX boys particularly that green one that looked like it was about to tip over :D Other than that it was really good, no major offs or stoppages. Andy was on fire in the R26 was very impressed!

All in all we've had a great weekend! The get together in Thrapston was a great laugh, I 've not laughed so much for ages (some videos may surface when Mat gets back from holiday!) Was good to see loads of new faces and of course to see the southern lot which we only get to do at these events.

Pics to follow!

well the night befor stays hidden i think for alot of people lol

but wat a blast, :D

but for my first time the FCS i think it was poorly layed out TBH, im not blaming the MS lot in any fashion but i think with all that land they just jammed us all in,, but hay im not an organiser so wat do i know, there could have bin more than a few stalls there and the food prices were

SHOCKING...... £3.60 for 2 bottles of drink,,,

chow mein wa sweet tho :D

anyway, the MEGANESPORT stand was a hit, i think it had a bit of a shakey start but with such a small area to play with it was hard, but dav etc got there in the end... but great that alot of folks stayed around to chat and look around the motors,,

the track time was a hit...... man i LOVED it and my R26 was on a mission to say the least,
i never though i would be be able to drive that car as good as that but infact the car made me drive better and push harder,, it was awesome!!!!!!!
ok i may have over cooked one or two bends on the first couple of laps but soon got the hang of it :D
other than that it was on fire on the straight , gripped so hard in the bends it was a joke! and the breaking never let me down once...

i challenge anyone to say that a R26 cannot handle round a track, god it was good. even had jamie as a passenger and he loved it :D

all in all was a super day.

cheers guys :D

andy.

First time at FCS as I haven't had the car that long.
Good to meet a couple of guys, Matt who lives in the same manor and Mr Bassett.

Andy : Have to say your motor around the track did it for me I was impressed. The misses couldn't get a proper photo... infact she said and I quote " YOU MUST GET THAT MAP ON YOUR ONE" :shiny[1]: :shiny[1]: :shiny[1]: So all I can say to you is thankyou thankyou thankyou  Thanks also for the quick info on your motor, much appreciated.
Will be having a trip up to Leeds in the near future.

All in all good day out

Thanks for the warm welcome over the weekend everybody. Was great to meet those that I did and I'm sure I'll manage to say hello to a few more of you at a future meet.

Also cheers with the help on the badge removal (Andy and Jamie) I'm sure I'd have ended up digging the pliers into the boot!

I've got some serious food for thought now, as having followed Andy, Mike, Jamie, Alex, Tom etc home (well to our respective homes!) I think an exhaust and Bov are definitely in order. Think they might have to wait till after the wedding though if I want to keep my nuts attached. ;)

Well what can I say, I thought it was good to see everyone as always! The event was so much better than the previous year but there is always room for improvement such as finding some descent women to parade about in skimpys and not the crocodilopigs that were there!

Big love to everyone that put up with me today and the previous night and special thanks to Matt for putting us up, great man!

Great FCS once we got in. It still took 45 minutes to get in from the queue outside onto the stand. There must be more than one entrance into Rockingham. A bit of an improvement over Bruntingthorpe, no silly long walks down a runway, instead a silly walk through a tunnel to the paddock. Nice to have a real track for the guys though. The extra entertainment was a bit dodgy though. The rocket guy was quite good, but a bunc of motorcyclists doing wheelies and burnouts was rather naff.

The food and drink was a rip off as always but then they always are at these things. At the end of the day it was just good to meet up with the guys again

I have got to say it was 10 times better than last year. Might try and sort out more stand space for next year as it was a bit small. The trade stands were a lot better than last year, selling a few more different porducts. The Track time looked superb and missed out on that really. Roll on next year !!!

Thanks go's to Mark Dow, the main organiser of the event. Without him and his colleagues, the event wouldn't even get off the ground.

Keep up the good work. Dave

I thought this year was a great success, and much better than last year.

The layout, although never ideal was a LOT better than last year and it was nice that it was at a proper venue, and not just a big field and some tarmac like last year.

There was also proper shows etc organised, like the monster trucks etc, although they were a bit rubbish, I'm sure the kids would have enjoyed it and there was nothing like that last year.

Knowing how expensive food is at these places I can thank the misses for supplying a lovely "pack up".

My only slight annoyance was queueing to get in, we got there at 7:15 and got in and parked about 8:30, there was people pushing in and cutting down the queue etc, which was rather annoying, rude and the organisers just seemed to let it happen.

Other than that I thought it was spot on, bring on 08 :)

top sesh - great to meet people - and so bloody friendly

pain getting in - but the monster trucks etc made it a family day, rather than just a meet for the boys.............my kiddies loved the show extras (even the girls - I caught cameron (61/2) eyeing up one of them - very funny. Guess his eyes are at the right level at the mo...)

roll on Trax

what an excellent day. so much better organised and layed out than last year. the only grip i have is that there could've been more trade stalls present, money was burning a hole in my pocket!

i agree that the entertainment made it a good day for families. i was well impressed by the rocket man :)

was nice to meet everyone again, and some new faces too. next year ill be driving my new white steed ;)

Im sorry i couldnt make it to the night before, i was still prepping cars at 9.30PM!

Really wanted to get the blue rocket on track, i think ill be doing that at Trax though :)

Many thanks to all the attended, made the day what it was, and gave us a good profile. and yes, it did get noticed by Renault!!

Hated the queuing and the **** poor stand organisation. (signs hand written by a 6 year old)

loved the venue with the track view and trade stand set up, this could be a superb event with some intervention from the team at rockingham to organise the club stands a bit more. Maybe they are more interested in getting the numbers in.

Danny

Me & Emma had a great time!
Special thanks to Dave & Michelle for putting us up at their home.
Really nice to meet everyone and thought the show was well laid out other than the parking space / ground surface for the Meganesport.net club stand. Queing was defo a bit annoying but did seem to move fairly quickly once we all got established in it.
Bring on 2008.
