After 11 weeks of waiting, buyacar.co.uk rang me to tell me they have tried to get a Megane GT but they cant as they are having problems with Renault and thier suppliers.

Apparently it is effecting the GT and all Meggy RS models :cursing:

They could not give me ANY date of when it might possibly be delivered or if it would be at all!!

So I cancelled order and ordered a:

Pearl black 3 door Astra 1.6turbo 180ps SRI with xp(vxr styling pack) with electric folding mirrors, climate control and sight and light pack.:drool:

delivery 8-10 weeks , yes it starts all over again:(

Really ****ed of, after waiting all this time for nothing! :hang:

They said its going to effect the GT and RS when buying thru internet discount sites :( - apparently - found this out as i asked about the RS DCI

if anyone on here has ordered a GT or RS via buyacar, i strongly recommend you contact them to check!!!!!!!!

after they told me that via internet discount there was problems , and i didnt want to pay dealer prices and thought sod it!!!:(

Im sure there would be a dealer out there that could sort something out for you. Go on Renault sport website and look at Alex Levington. Or theres another one in Derby

the astra is a bit plain jane next to the meggy, but its nice tho :)

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like Renault are clamping down on all the cheapo internet deals then. Shame you had to wait 11 weeks to find that out though. You'd think that if they placed an order so long ago it wouldn't be a problem and that all these problems with Renault would only be affecting new orders, not existing ones.

The Astra sounds expensive for some reason!

Sounds like a similar issue that BMNC had (also coupled with a questionable tax bill). I cancelled my order and bought a second hand car. I'm very suspicious about broker deals. Although I wont stur up old ground covered on here, and just say that I'm sorry for you and i hope you can afford to wait!

Has anyone had any contact with BMNC in the last week, I e-mailed and phoned every day last week and never got any reply, I finally e-mailed to say that I was cancelling my order but still no answer, very strange !
