3 days ago I started my car and got this funny screeching noise behind the spedo. it sounded like gears slipping. I think it is the motor that changes the vent from open to close (the butten with the circle to circulate the air in the car)

It sounds like its gear is striped so i am taking my car in next week to sort this out.
