Last night i went out in my car and it was dark, as i turned the engine on the auto lights came on main beam but the backlight for the speedo didnt, i then turned the lights on myself and still no joy, turned the lights to side lights but still the backlight would not come on. I then turned the engine off and started it up again and it worked. Has anyone else ever had this problem, should i contact the dealer of leave it now that its ok ???

I've had that 2 or 3 times since I've had the car (about 15 months) hasn't happened for ages though

At very least phone your dealer & ask them. If it goes wrong again 6 months down the line they may try to get out of fixing it.

If it goes wrong again 6 months down the line, just tell them it's the first time it happened :)

yeah mine has done this also and mine is only a couple month old,

prob just a temp thing, as you can see alot of them do it but im sure its fine,

if it keeps doing it then i would say get it cheacked out, other than that leave it mate,

if they start taking the dash apart for a bloody bulb they will no dowt cause more probs for you.

It's not a bulb though, it's a logic fault :)
