Should have been getting my 225 saturday, but due to the dvla
taking their time processing the paper work I wont be.
How come it takes over a week to check a few documents!!

DelA franchise dealer does not need to await for any documents - only your insurance cover note.

Is the car an import?

Is that why it may be taking a bit longer?

Yes I would assume so.
I have been told that you can not wait now at the local dvla office
for the paperwork to be done, you have to leave it

Did the garage tell you that if you register you car immediately with your personalised plate, that if it gets written off, your plate goes with it??? And its quite a job getting it back??

Bet they didn't.

This is because the car doesnt have a a registration number like, example- KP06 GVA, so they go with the one on the car.

ITs better to get the car, then register your personalised plate. Although it means driving round in an 06 reg for a few days. 8)

Ashford, if you don't know its about 20 miles further down than
Maidstone. Picked up car today, as good as I was hoping it would be.
Its a little tight in the garage, a fair bit bigger than the clio.
Can't wait to get to 600 miles to try her probably.
