the missus came back from work this morning and had a little accident with the car by reversing in a bollard :argue: .
do you think i should get the insurance to sort it out or go to a garage and pay for it myself..?

Up to you mate. Get a couple of quotes and see what they say. If its only a few hundred quid, get it done yourself. The insurance will sting you for the next few years if you claim.

as above, if it's just the bumper itself (and not the crash portection behind it) you may as well pay for it yourself, probably won't be much more than excess anyway

wat you got to weigh up is it might cost you £250 on your excess and nothing to get it fixed but will tramp you next year on your renewal on the insurance, so could cost you alot..

or you just pay it your self and not tell the insurance and it will cool for the renewal,

in fairness it dont look that bad, wheel arck liner out and a bit of beating and a small lick of paint in the lower corner and jobs a gooden,

yea it's got parking sensor but to be fair to her she only slept 4hours in 2 days so i'll put it down as her been tired.
i won't tell the insurance and get it sorted but could of us the ££ for something else tho but hey accidents happens, she's usually so careful and feels really bad about it.

Could be worse you could of damaged the rear bumper and then you would of been up the river. When i had to replace my bumper took 2 weeks to get it here cos it was the only bumper they had and it was inFrance. I had a bumper sprayed and rear wing repaired and laquered for £250 mate. So thats a price idea for you .
