a new 225 wanting this colour as its become available on the standard megane range now only!! why do renault do this to people there even making nimbus available on the continent for the standard cars too!!!!!

Thats not on really, If they are going to make it a special cup colour then leave it like that!!!!

I know the answer to this one unfortunatly.

Both the Numbus and Cap red were featured on special edition cars. The descision was taken NOT to launch these colours as if they were made available it would make the special editions.......well........not special thus the descision.

well steel grey looks good then, they still not doing that colour in any other model looking at it.

wen chris come round with his capsicum red cup it looked the biz, better than all the oher colors and yes even mine :D

its a bloody shame they are doing the trophy and cup colour in the standard range now. god knows why,

Well at least they are still kind of special colours for the 225.
I've seen a normal megane near my work in cap red but dont look as good as mine well in my eyes anyway lol.

Capsicum Red has been a Standard colour on Megane's since the 1st Megane was launched in 1996.

Renault always go it!!

They did something similar with the alloys on the 172. It came with 16" five spoke wheels but the style was exclusive to the RS Clio then as soon as the 04 plate Clios came out they had exactly the same style wheel but in 15"!!!!!

Why can't Renault just leave things and stop fannying about. :lol:

how many phase 1 Capsicum red ones were sold do we know? the phase two orders started only a month or two after the cup came out so Capsicum red phase ones could be amonst the rarest cars out there, I'm sure I saw 50 as the number sold that was a little while ago

yep williams was a classic example but its a formula thats works for them and they seem to have stuck to it
