Bit over the top with the stickers and those wheels are a disaster but not bad if she gets to bring some of the cars home.

She works for a track day company, they have 3 ferrari's, a lambo, 2 porsches, scooby, evo, st and stuff like polo rally cars for the kids

Any chance she can bring the lambo or ferrari home then and i can pop over and go out for a drive. Are the cars from oulton park by any chance. I drove a ferrari 355 there last year

just saying im not impressed, its a common car i see everyday and not anything unique and yes if it was a VR4 metro then id be drooling all over the keyboard :D
seem to remember this exact thread posted on CS.net and nobody thought it was good either lol, not having a pop its just the sort of thing thats parked up in your local council estate.

RB5, spec C ra, P1, WR1 then yea but its just a normal sti, doesnt even have an impressive exhaust

Naith

but its a subaru, its a high performance road vechile nethertheless..... any girl ive been with drives a mini or a Ka.

it may be on council estates but i imagine many people on the estate aspire to drive cars that have race heritage and performance background. i dont see subarus in race livery everyday....

and as for the lot on CS not being impressed..... when are they??? some even think the megane is inferior, and u tell me a subaru like that is more common than a cliosport.

and a bigger exhaust is what i'd class as 'council estate' mate

For once i agree with you naith

i do , they usually all have decals of somesort.

also it may be a car to aspire to own but the purchase price of a used scoob is less than a megane now and unless you engine tune them, get drop links, suspension and brakes they will show there age against the current crop and also next gen hatchbacks i.e new S3, R26, R32 etc..

there 1500kg with 260hp and transloss to boot, they just dont impress me at all. the prodrive kit consitently never produces 310hp/310lbft there more like 280bhp.

the original purchase price of a japaneese STI in the home land is £11,000 ! that s a.) and indication we get ripped off and b.) shows how cheap it is as a car.

the fuel econ is awful, the engines are weak after 70k, they are abused and used and only the specialist models are really as good as people say i.e the P1 unless you throw a few more thousand at them.

having said all that, if it wasnt for the gold wheels and stupid rally decals because the road car bears no resemblance to the rally car and i know as my mate pete just retired last year from his posistion as a subaru world rally car engineer and there is absolutley nothing left in common and also the fact that there mint flat four burble has become a source of headaches where ever you go there is some 1995 jap crap with a rage exhaust now boringly burbling as they go by with another tilted capped townie with knuckle rings, chains and a cap of somesorts then.... yes it would be alright.

id take the 172 cup parked next to it every time because of those above reasons.

let me be clear im commenting on the car, not the owner in this instance. its an opinion forum and thats my opinion on that particular version and look of subaru.

sos, cant always clap everything thats on a forum as its all about opinions.

and yes as a car with the models such as the P1 they would monster a megane but apart from that model above i wouldnt choose any other model over my megane either.

an Evo... well thats another story ;)

Well you just cannot please some people lol You will notice its on trade plates, its not normally on the road. It has had alot of work done, but is really quiet due to the noise restrictions of the track.

Heres the new ferrari

haha, i was thinking the same.... a proper car enthusiast and don't even know what the metro was... HAHAHA!!!

and that ferarri is soooo council estate ish! i see them all the time parked on council estates. council estates are really coming upmarket nowadays.

wtf has council estates got to do with anything? just because people live on a council estate doesn't mean they're any less of a person, so what if they do? just as many scum bags live in private rented accomadation or even bought properties.

and just as many people live on private newly built estates with a nice subaru parked on the driveway... in fact there are more!

meggerman, i put it to you that you are an estateist.

did you see i wrote typo you gibbon ?

btw ive just left a council estate as a renovation project made some nice ££££ let me tell you there are exceptions to the rule, old people, decent first time buyer couples etc.. but in general where i come from there drugies, single parents who will never work yet get £30k+ in benefits a year and no bills, thugs, theives, general badly dressed small minded chav nonces etc..

i know for all the snobish character traits a person may have in a paid for and better quality area mostly well deserved through hard graft but at least they wont steal your wallet and kick you to death so that in my book is a good enough generalisation that council estates are full of dodgy buggers and paid for private housing is for those who at least wanna give life a go

I think I drove that car back in August, misses got me a driving experience. Scoob was fast in a straight line and easy to drive - but not what I would exciting. By far the best car I drove there was a high mileage 996 Carrera 2, lovely machine, totally changed every preconception I had about Porkers!!
