Hi people,

Ordered my R26 on Sept 20th with a delivery date of 3rd December. Got a letter approx 4/5 weeks ago saying it is on route to me. Then got a call from Renault asking for me to choose a reg plate and that the car was at the import port (this country).

I phoned today to find out if all is well to be told that there is a block on all meganes at the import port, and that the order is showing a red light!

Any idea what is going on?

Feel for you mate as mine was on a tec block for 3 weeks, sometimes they put them on Blocks for all sorts wiperblades missing etc

Me thinks that yours could be the Isofix but would have thought that it would be sorted at the factory.

Mine was held up as some muppet at the impound centre lost the keys.

I hope mine comes through okay.

Really annoying, hope it isn't too much of a wait!

Yep, mine is on hold with a red light on their traffic light system thing as well. The date I have now is 15th January. Ordered it on september 29th :(

The other person I spoke to yesterday form Martins said they were gonna look into it but didn't, but a friend of mine who works for another dealership says a 225 that's just arrived to them is also under a red light till an ISOFIX problem is sorted and can't be delivered. Mine's not even in the country and my mate says he can't look into my car's case as it's a different dealership.

I ordered my my R26 4-5 weeks ago and was told was due begining of Jan, so rang the garage to ring renault and check and said my car wont b ready now til 3rd Feb. I want my car now. lol the waiting is killing me.

I'am dealing with Peter Genari @ Martins and he's been 1st class for me.
My car has also been delayed from 11th Dec to 1st week in Jan :(

Hi yes some are on a technical block involving isofix fittings on the rear seats, so far I have had one on block for two weeks and as yet there is no information as to when they will be ready. Answer is keep speaking to your dealer. I did e-mail renault distribution and no luck so far today, will try keep you guys posted

Hi R26 owner 100 have checked Deans phone log he received message from you yesterday pm and did leave two voice mails today, have told him to give you another call a moment ago. If he does not manage to catch up with you this evening he is off tomorrow so do not hesitate to call me direct on 01256867206, if I am not at my desk it will divert to my mobile. If i am right and got the right person yours is January delivery and all on line at moment

Somehow I missed Dean's first call completely today and he had left by the time i rang back. I spoke to Andy (I think) who will look into things further for me tomorrow.

lol, phoned RUK today and told them I would like a little more info on this block. They asked me "what would you like RUK to do about it" to which I again stated the problem and said I would like a little more info on whats happening and when I can expect it. I have sold my car and am now have no transport.

They said they couldn't tell me the problem because they would have to speak to the dealer (E'H) to find out what the problem was. I told them that I didn't have a problem with the dealer - I just want to know whats happening. They said when they find out from the dealer they will call me tomorrow.:wtf:

Let me get this right: The car has been blocked by who i would imagine are Renault not Evans Halshaw! however they cant tell me why they block a car and a possible release time and need to find out from the dealer!!

Hope they dont give the dealer Jip as the lady (Liz) has been a fantastic help to me and I would recommend her to anyone. She has done her best to find out for me and is pretty much in the dark like myself.

Renault insurance were great, can't insure a Renault Sport unless your 30, you'd think they could have told me that once they had taken my DOB & car details, rather than put me on hold for 10 minutes then tell me.

I didn't even bother shopping around... Direct Line wanted £29 extra to change to the R26 from the 225, that's for 11 months remaining and includes £15 admin fee

Pick mine up Friday, did the 7 day free insurance thingy to get the car taxed, my insurance is cheaper than my 182, work that out, apparently 182's are more nickable lol.

I'm not changing insurance, but my insurance company won't cover both cars on the collection day (Greenlight), so i've had to take out a seperate insurance policy for the day (because of the ghey Renault insurance).

Oh dear - neither Renault or the dealer can tell me when I can expect the car problem to be fixed. So no closer to getting a delivery date. It's only been in the country 5+ weeks :bonkers:

Infact - they can't even tell me what the problem is!! they can't even find out what's what!:detective:

Turns out the problem is to do with a turbo pipe. No idea when it will be fixed as they are awaiting info from France - and don't know when they will get an update from RSport:cussing:

It will be worth the wait i had to wait 2 weeks for them to find the Keys, all forgotten when i pressed the Start Button

Good news, I received the word from Peter G that production of my car has started as of today. Unfortunately the delivery date is still showing as Jan 23rd. Bring it on!!

Well, after all the waiting Mr Genari has informed me that my R26 is suddenly at the import centre, and may be with them on or before the 3rd of Jan. I'm very very happy!!!

He was talking to me yesterday about yours, glad its almost here.

I have been over the last two weeks, I've had to make 3 return trips to have problems sorted out, hopefully all is good now though. (Bearing in mind the dealership is a 60 mile round trip for me)

At least it's sorted now. I'll be coming from Essex so hopefully i'll only be going once, fingers crossed.

just be sure to check the bases of your Recaros have all the paint on them!!

Well, it's arrived at the dealership now! Gonna go have a look at it on sunday at the pound, i've sorted insurance for the estimated pick up date of 3rd Jan so will have to wait till then!! No problem really, i can wait a little longer :)
