As I do every few months I am thinking of chopping in my 225 Cup for a Clio. I've been considering going for the cup version but adding on the manual a/c the Recaro seats, and having it in white with the white speedlines. I saw this earlier and it's pretty much what I would be after...

white cars are annoying me now but still, the 197 is a lovely mobile but for the money and going from a 225 i'd have to take a step up!

That looks alot better with the white wheels than the horrid black ones. I dont see why people bother with black wheels, might as well go out and buy some plain steelies. lol

(though whilst i can understand the appeal of the cup i'd rather have the day to day comfort of a 197 or R27)

Yea its Kirstys car but if I was u I wouldn't get the cup. Get a 197 with any options u like.

You can buy the "cup pack" now. I would get a 197 with that and add your extras. Pretty much the same as a R27 then but in WHITE!!!!

it looks a lot nicer with the white speedlines on, I saw a white cup on the back of a transporter this morning on the M3.

looks relly nice that one, mayb colour code the rubstrips n get it lowered a little like shinys old 197, but the above mentioned owner aint even on meganesport so i'll shurrup now

The problem is that I like the white on white. I have heard that Renault may offer the standard 197 in white in the second half of next year...but they also said that they might not.

Cooks round the corner have one on order as a demonstrator. They are hoping they will have it mid-end of January. I will be down there as soon as they do to see what it's like :)

One of the salesmen at the local dealership rang me last night to say that they had taken delivery of a White Cup with the Recaros, A/C and Black Speedlines and asked if I was interested in having a look.

I went to have a look this morning and I really like it...a lot more than I thought I would. At first i wasn't sure about the black wing mirrors and rub strips and I was saying the salesman that if I was to order one I would probably have them painted gloss black or white to match the car. However thinking about it now I quite like the plain black plastic.

Sitting in the car, the Recaros were nice to look at but I found them too narrow and after about 5 minutes I had to get out. I wasn't put off by the hard plastic dash or the lack of handles on the inside of the door either.

The black speedlines compliment the Clio nicely and again I found them better than I thought I would.

So would I get one....yes without a doubt, my only concern is that as a family we might struggle with two clios with a 10 month old nipper and all her stuff.
