Hi ya, having now taken delivery of my new CC i was wondering how many cards/ keys should i get?? its a 1.5 DCi Dynamique on an 06 plate. I currently have one card with the spare key built in, is this correct or should i be hassling the dealer for others??

When i bought mine brand new it came with 2 cards, both with built in spare key.

I had two cards when I got mine

you should get two cards mate, if you only got one, be careful as another may be floating about...

If the dealer hasn't got it demand a new pair and have them re programmed...

Defintely 2 & do hassle to get it as they cost a bomb to replace (including the re-programe)

thanks for the imput guys, turns out there is a spare its just the incompitant who did the hand over didnt know about it.........just gave me speal about them having signs up saying that they only give the keys they take in with car etc etc........... GRRrrrrrrrrr

Just to let you know the key inside the card only opens the passenger side door. flick a cap off and the key holes underneath

cheers dude spotted that in the manual. need the key inside card for manually opening roof n stuff too :)

if it is a used car you will only be provided with keys(cards) handed over by the previous owner - if you are only given 1 I doubt that the last owner would deliberately keep a 2nd card back but you never know !!

If the dealer only has one and you manage to get another card out of them then great because only 2 cards can ever be programmed to 1 car . Basically if there was another card out there it would no longer be able to used on your car because it would not be recognised.

thanks misterC but i did get the second card. Was drreading the cost of a new one.......... i was just hacked off with the attitude of the sales man who i spoke to regarding the spare key, it came accross very we have signs up what do you want us to do about it..............you know not hugely helpful. shame really........

no probs - did realise after I posted that you were given 2 keys , after I read the thread again !!
