Finally got round to ordering a new exhaust for the GT. Ive been deciding wether to remove the back box or get a full system. In the end i decided with a full stainless straight through system. Its the same one that Alain has fitted and fom the videos i have of it it sounds pretty nice. Also when i spoke to Andy B a while ago he said when he heard Alains exhaust it was the nuts so im really looking forward to it.

The tailpipes are 3.5" rolled in, slash cut tailpipes so they're only 1/2 '' bigger than the current but i like OEM looking mods.No box's so should pretty nice. :)

Hopefully it will be here around Friday ish so ready to fit for the weekend.

will you lose power with the straight through system?? bet itll sound saweeeeeeet though :D

Dont think so as Alain has had his RR with this exhaust, ITG and BOV and it made 186bhp.

wot are they standard mate?? so he couldve gained power?? is it a cat replacement system??

they should be 165 standard, all though mine made 170 with DV and ITG allthough it could of been slightly up without the mods.

if its similar to the 225 im guessin you will, but as i say im guessing :)
annoying that how other cars you can run a straight through exhaust and it will up the power considerably :(

well i will take a trip over to leeds and see how it affects it and if it does loose power i can always get the front box put on or take it off.

should gain you power shouldnt it? less back pressure?

how does it sound on the motorway, hope its not too loud, but love the video i have when your car pulls away slow, quite deep and burbly

i'm still really happy with mine and the sound is awesome on any road, i would be surprise if you ever regret installing it mate.

well should be here this friday, so hopefully it will be on for the weekend.

quick question, why did you choose this over the likes of a 225/R26?

Insurance mate. When i bought it i had only just turned 20 and had 0 ncb with a previous claim. So i bought this. Goes like a standard 225 now so gunna keep it for 1 more year then change it. Plus i like it ;-)

you can use it as long as you hide the number plate mate and specially on youtube.

not sure if i have a video editor so ill just remove it for now unless i get some software to change it.

The new exhaust is all fitted now, sounded mental at first and maybe too loud but now ive done a few miles with it on it sounds much better. The best is when you floor it you get an amazing sound, along with a litle wistle and even had a couple of pops. And im pretty sure the turbo is spooling alot quicker it seams that everytime i even touch the pedal and come off it i get a really loud dump alot more noticeable than before. I will get some pictures up a bit later along with some videos.
