: door speaker grills

You open the door, then pull the bit towards you its a fiarly easy job

does it clip in anywhere or am i likely to break securing clips just yanking it??

Pull it gently from the hinge side. There are some plastic tabs that hook under the rest of the trim near the handle

also should it just pull off or do i need to use some form of gentle persuasion??

Just pull off. start with the hinge side like bob says, that's also the bit that gets hidden by the dash when the door is closed. It just pops out. When you get to the middle of the door, thats when you'll get some resistance, and where the 'tongue' is. Very easy.

Put some gaffer tape over the big holes you see there, it'll improve your bass
