TheFinn 28-03-2008, 22:29:28 Those are handmade lenses, heat-formed from similar kind of diamond-pattern flat piece of plexiglass that is used as a diffuser lense e.g. in fluorescent rooflights.
The "company" that makes them is probably just some fred-in-a-shed who has learned to shape plexiglass using owen and hot-air gun. I'm not sure if he's still in the business, but you can still buy a 'diamond' 3. brake light for the Megane CC through Reichhard-Motorsport in Germany, modified from a standard brake light using the same technology as seen on the blue RS with the Vampire bodykit:

A few years ago the "company" could be found under the name "Bright White Lights" (or was it Brite White Lights....) Their lights were very expensive and not very durable: heat-forming the lenses from a flat piece of plexiglass leaves stress concentrations in them, causing them to crack very easily. I know one poor devil who ordered these lights for his Mk1 Clio, only to crack the other side light right on first assembly....
I'd recommend these genuine Valeo clear 'crystal' lights instead of those handmade ones. They're full OEM quality, approved for road use and considerably less expensive:

The only drawback (if you're after a fully 'colourless' look) are the red reflectors, but you'll have to fit them somewhere unless you don't plan to use the car on publc roads.....
a ha just found my genuine renault parts catalogue for 2006 and its a genuine renault aftermarket part :) just scanning it in :)
ok correction its the 2005 sport styling catalogue

Just snapped the pic quickly after washing the car today, the lights look even nicer in direct sunshine...
luke2g2 29-03-2008, 16:45:57 cheers guys,
think I'll go for the crystal ones with the small refelctor as suggested by 'the finn'.
I think they'll match up with the orginal indicators well.
Gunna put some morettes on to.
luke2g2 29-03-2008, 16:47:14 'the finn' they look quality with the high brake light to.
How much did they cost you and where from?

I ordered the crystal rear lights from Germany, through a company called Tuning Tempel. A couple of months ago (when I bought them) they were 59.95 apiece, but now the price seems to have gone up to 64.95. Here's a link to the page where you can find the lights:
http://www.tuning-tempel.de/shop/Fahrzeugspezifisch/Renault/Megane-2/Beleuchtung-Tuning:::3613_3685_4303_4304.html
You need to order both the left and the right light unit separately, they are NOT a set of two. So together the pair costs 129.90 which translates to about £102. Plus p&p.
The clear 3. brake light (http://search.ebay.de/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=Renault+Megane+2+LED+3.+Bremsleuchte+in+Ch rom+LED) I bought through the German eBay, it's 39.90 (~£32) plus p&p.
luke2g2 30-03-2008, 11:50:13 cheers, will have to get a set soon.
The 3rd brake light is pretty reasonable

These are PhI lights only. They wont fit the PhII as they are the wrong shape!

Bluestar 07-04-2008, 16:50:05 nope there not they are slightly narrower at the inside edge! although they don't look it they are!
ok they would fit but then you would need PhI bumper or get the fiberglass out!

TheFinn 07-04-2008, 17:53:25 @bluestar: Are you sure you don't have front and rear lights mixed up??? Because while the front lights definately are different shape, the rear lights (as discussed here) are similar shape....
