: Clio 182 vs 225
tode1974fish 26-04-2006, 19:32:44 Hi to all, just like to introduce myself as I have just bought an arctic blue full fat 225. (Love the site by the way). I have owned quite a few cars over the years but my last was a Clio 182 cup in black gold. It was by far the best car I had ever owned in terms of sheer fun and grin factor as well as keeping with most things on the road. The only down sides I could think of was the drivers seating position and it needed a 6th gear. When my family started to grow I decided practicality should be enforced so I opted for a 225. I have had it for 2 weeks now and absolutely love it. It has everything the Clio had but also clears the downsides off my list. WHAT A CAR!!! Anyway just thought I would air my views on the old Clio vs 225 conversation and say that both cars are great fun but the Meggy just pips it at the post with the added luxuries and the fact you don't have to rev the knuts off it all the time. Look forward to letting the modding commence when the cash flow gets a bit better.
Cheers Tony

rothwell225 26-04-2006, 19:38:35 welcome to the site tony
you definately made the right choice going for the 225, as most people on here can vouch for, the clios are fun but if you want practicallity and fun then the 225 is the way forward!!
good choice of colour by the way (would have been my 2nd choice  )
tode1974fish 26-04-2006, 19:39:43 Hello mate, I'm from Peterborough. Not seen many 225's around here thankfully. Saw an F1 the other day but other than that nothing.
tode1974fish 26-04-2006, 19:41:49 Cheers mate. Wanted silver but the blue one came along at the right time and price. I'm like you though, blue was my 2nd choice.
