i maxed my bidding at 35£ ;)

the ring just clips down so just needs a little pull, the gearnob also just pulls off as is friction tight but dont hit yourself in the face!!

p.s do not try twisting it!

so if i understand right, the knob is just wedged/moulded on? I think i read somewhere that you have to cable tie the gator at the top of the stick??

Other way around to mine too ;p
My reverse gear is on the left after you pull up the bottom of the knob.

so if i understand right, the knob is just wedged/moulded on? I think i read somewhere that you have to cable tie the gator at the top of the stick??

There's a plastic locating 'thingy' at the top of the gear stick that the knob 'clicks' onto. So the old one just pulls straight up and the new one is pushed straight down until it locks with the locator.

And before pulling your knob, remember to free the gaitor base ring from the centre console as the whole knob/reverse lift sleeve/gaitor/ring assembly comes off as one piece.

When the assembly is removed, the knob is freed from the reverse sleeve by twisting a quarter turn anti-clockwise, it's a bayonet fitting. Careful though, there's a spring between the two (pushing them apart) so be sure to catch it on removal.

And finally, yes the gaitor is held at the top by a cable tie to the reverse lift sleeve.

Miltage,

Was it just a one off auction or is there somewhere on ebay selling a load of them? It looks really good much better than the standard beige set in mine.
