hey guys any suggestions....

neighbour over the road has an 03 old shape megane convertible with the cloth roof although its automatic, shes had it down all day but can get it to go back up. the plastci cover starts to lift but then it just beeps!!!

apparently she got it from auctions and dont have the handbook but because i had one (glass roof DOH!) she thought i would know what to do!

is there an emergency handle or something that could wind it up??

any help greatly appreciated!!

is there a button or a catch like the hard top megane that has to be in place or pressed down in order for the roof to operate,

if you open the boot on the left i think there is a plastic cover remove this and then there is a key type thing if you wind this out it will disconnect the hydrolics so you can work the hood manualy,but if it beeps sounds like low battery or an obstruction or something like that

It is a manual option but quite difficult (fuses disconnected, should be 2 people to put in place, screwdrivers needed). Only read it once in the manual. Can´t help u as i'm in madrid with business. Otherwise i could scan the pages but tomorrow evening at best.

well she parked it down our drive last night as its a lot more secluded and luckily it didnt rain :lol:

i think shes just taken it down to the local dealership to get it sorted!

My 2003 Megane Cabrio has this beeping roof problem. :help:
The local dealership has so far sorted it out in a couple of minutes free of charge. This time they want to charge me £85!!

Does anyone know how to do it? It must be a knack of some sort.

remove the left hand trim in the boot theres a tank with a tap on it unscrew it a bit then in the boot there is a hatch with a cord in there pull the cord. lift the fabric up close the roof lift up the window and close the flap with a push on it and shut the fabric think thats how to do it.

you need to have it put on clip there is lots of sensors.
