i.e. travel insurance, breakdown cover (have we got this as standard for European cover?) toiletries, money, pants etc?

I keep thinking of things and then forgetting so a checklist might be an idea.

Stick some deckchairs in the car is one I remembered to remember from last years trip :D

Breakdown cover - I spoke to AA this week and my car, like everyone's who still have AA cover, is apparently under a 'blanket' policy with Renault and not a private policy as such.

But they did confirm that, well mine anyway, does have European breakdown cover :)

1) Passports sorted
2) Travel insurance to do
3) Insured for European travel TBC from my car insurers Greenlight (full copy of the policy on it's way to me) - it was last year so nowt should have changed (just want it in writing :signs005:) - not covered for the 'ring itself though LOL
4) Copy of ferry ticket booking printed off

Loads more to do........:scared:

Cheers Dave thats a good list!

The Hi Vis jackets are a must actually in fact I think your supposed to carry something like that in the car on the ring to flag down accidents etc. Something I forgot last year but will stick it on my list for this year.

Got my travel inurance today. Need to ring greenlight up and check I have AA cover with renault

I have ordered some bonnet stickers with the club logo on as well so if anyone wants one let me know. I'm sticking mine on gor the trip and leaving in on for the shows

I'll need to convoy once in France as me SatNav doesn't have European maps :scooter:

yeah we're going hardcore and setting off early hours. That petrol station just before you enter the dosck would be a good place. We'll sort out that and make sure we've all got eachothers numbers before we go though

Whats you got left to do then chaps? Got a busy weekend coming up! Got to have a trial fit of the harnesses which have arrived this week. 4 new Verdasteins going on plus a full clean out and some nice new mats going in. Paperworks just about sorted just need to double check my AA cover is in place. Its come round so quick!

Well my understanding is that the uk cars come with 3 years AA. I would imagine thats limited to uk but I have the added complication that I'm the second owner and I havent rung them to get it transferred yet. Temporary cover is only £35 from the AA anyway if needs be

I got a quote from the AA for 34 quid RAC is £30 I think its worth it even though the risk of a breakdown is hopefully minimal!

I'm taking a spare wheel with me as well just in case
