Just wonedered if anyone else has had this happen to them, mine is a 03 with 84k on the clock and is totally standard.....luckerly when it happened was only going at 25 - 30mph, scarred the f***ing s*** out of me.

yeah m8 mine did it last month
got 2 new springs put on
it was right at top , so half a coil snaped, found it on my drive lol!
mine was on 48k at the time

the garage thought it was only needing to replace the broken one and thought that the other one was ok.

best to change both(m8s a mechanic an recommended it) one will be more worn than the new one then
plus if it ever goes again ive got my old 1 spare lol ;-)
