Hello.

My name is Dave, I am from Newcastle.

Thats Newcastle in NSW Australia.

You guys have an awsome website.

I have a Megsy RS 225 Cup (Blood Orange). Love it.

I was up surfing and found your site. Just thought I'd log in and say G'Day.

There some really sweet picts of Megsys on here, might even inspire me to get some of mine up and running. You guys will have to turn your monitors upside down to view them though (Ha Ha).

Looking forward to participating in some discussions.

Cheers - Dave (dboy)

G'Day All,

Thanks for the Welcome.

I will work on getting some picts up this weekend. (Should be good weather here for a photo or two.)

Can someone tell me what "Full Fat"" means.

Is that the 225 Turbo (Not Cup). (With mods ?)

Just trying to catch up on the lingo.

Cheers.

Hi Dave,

The 'Full Fat'

Is the top of the range one, like the normal one without the cup pack or the cup.

if you catch my drift

So if the RS225 Turbo is "Full Fat", what is the "RS225 Cup" Called.

Cheers

PS - Picts soon (Weather permitting)

225 = FF
225+cup pack addition = FF
225-cup = PS (poverty spec)
225-trophy = fully PHAT 8)
225 F1 = hideous wheels think this is more like HF (half fat)

hopefully that clears it up. a FF full fat is a car that gets everything rather than a reno special which is to release a car with next to no luxury trim and call it a cup for a puny 20kg weight saving (apart from proper 172cup with 80kg weight saving amongst other things)

Wrong on the last one mate. I've seen one and the black wheels look smart. A refreshing change from grey wheels.

meggerman

Hello Again All.

Seems since I went off to sleep last night, I was well and truly hi-jacked.
Also seems I'm driving a poverty-pack. Is that right ? (Its a Cup).
Oh well, I like it anyway, and poverty is sure what I am in now I'm paying the beast off.

Anyhow, as threatened, here are some picts.

As you can see, I'm not really in the race as far as mods go. Tinted windows and a wind deflector things on the drivers window.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/dboydownunder/MayMegsforPosting0003.jpg
Custom Sheepskin seat covers, mmmm, comfortable.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/dboydownunder/MayMegsforPosting0002.jpg
Oh, and fully custom Leather (Kangaroo Leather mind you) Card holder.
No other plans at the moment.
Hmmmm, a LSD would be nice.

Cheers.

Oh No !!

I guess you're not going to like my roof racks either.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/dboydownunder/OhNoRoofRacks.jpg

Seriously though, I'm just an average working dude. At the end of the day when its time to go home, I ain't always squeeky clean. Had to get some seat covers, and with the air bags, this was the way to go.

Plus they are heeps comfortable, and sheepskin is warm in winter, and cool in the Aussie summer (something you guys might not have experianced).

And no, they weren't to cover up the stains. The Megane is a very pleasant car to drive in standard trim, but it is not nearly as fast as some other cars we have owned and modified in the past.

But I like it just the way it is.

Cheers.

I'll need some for when i get the bikes out! :D

Just out of interest does anyone know how much they are over here from renault? :?

dboy
07-05-2006, 11:41:41
Renaut here (In Aust) wanted 2 arms and a leg for their aftermarket items, but my missus had worked in the industry before, and she knew what the parts were really worth, so they were on the back foot from the word go.
We got a pretty good deal, and since they were not really selling many cars here against the Golf GTI, WRX and Lancer, they were fairly keen for our business, and pretty much gave us a few extras.
I'm sure they still got their pound of flesh though.

Cheers.
