last weekend took my car to kwik fit for the air con being re-charged and to have my new tyres fitted which were supplyed so kindly by adz-r26 at a cheap price, well about 10mins ago came to start cleanin my car and have fong a dent under the car on the sil, i think when the people at kwik fit replaced my tyres rather then using the jacking point which is clearly pointed out on the megane they have jacked it up further towards the back wheel (about 3 inches away from the jacking point) its has made quite a dent in the sil and if u look down the side of the car it has pushed the rear quater panel out quite abit, is there anything i can do about this and if i go back to kwik fit will they get it sorted for me cheers

you probably won't get any where with kwik fit because you left the premises before noticing the dent therefor they will probably say the damage was caused some where else. Unless you can prove without any doubt that kwik fit are to blame they probably wont do anything. You should always inspect the car before and after any work at the garage so that they cant deny it.

yea this is the thing that i was worried about with my next door neighbour saying it was a week ago he doubts they will do anything i try blaming me or another garage, or by saying it was there befor they started work on it, even though i know for definate it wasnt as i would of noticed it last time i cleaned my car which was the day befor i took it to kwik fit

well i have been down to kwik fit this afternoon and shown them the dent that has appeared since takng the car to them and as i expected they said it wasnt them that had done it because they always jack up on the jacking points, wasnt very helpful at all and just said it was nothing to do with them, abd at least its at the bottom of the car so you cant see it as much, but as its on the drivers side i think i will notice it every day now, not a happy man :(

Sorry to go off topic but they fitted tyres supplied by you'r mate ?.0nly reason i ask is i found some cheaper on line BUT when i asked National Tyres they told me they only fit tyres they supply,i though Kwik Fit would have the same policy ??.

Gene, you can get a lot of places to fit them mate. Kwic fit do them as well as F1.

Renocfc, i bet you are not happy. I would write to their head office and see what they say.

gene as blackrat says, yes kwik fit do fit them, and if you have any local tyre fitting centres they will also do them as those are the ones i tried first but they wouldnt do them on a saturday morning because this is there busiest day and they would make no money on the tyres them selfs, i also asked national tyres and they told me it was there policy that they couldnt fit them but kwik fit do

blackrat no im not happy about this no, i have aready sent them an email about it and requested a reply, if i dont hear anything in the next few days then there head office will be getting a phone call
