hi all

bought my meg about 2 months ago now and thinking of having it re-mapped.

has anyone had any problems once it had been done, i mean like cluth or shafts breaking, i also heard there is a problem with the particle filter blocking?

any info for me?

all iv heard (not on mine) was of one getting blocked and that was it.

i actually had the light come on the dash before I had mine done, so i wouldnt worry about it. Just give it some beans every now and then

not in my book anyway.

heard of one that was having issues around 7 months ago and that was it

best thing is to get the DPF deleted - imo

Who can delete the DPF, have been holdin off gettin mine mapped as thought it'd be bound to happen eventually. IMO, it's the biggest prob with the car.

09-10-2008, 17:30:42
if its the same a the petrol turbo remap i think its £395 and £50 for the optional before and after rolling road,
but for £200 you can buy the remote box and get the remap sent to you?? but its not too far for you to travel i suppose (compared to me lol)

geezy
10-10-2008, 02:01:03
yeh just a lil bit closer than u are lol

so wats the remote box?

anyone no wat a remote box is?

ClaneO
12-10-2008, 21:58:08
yeah sorry its a box that you use to apply the map to your car yourself (very easy) instead of going all the way to leeds, you can also switch the map back to standard anytime you want which is very useful! you can check and clear fault codes aswell!

Im looking at mving from a clio 182 to a meg 225 or the 175 dci, most probably the later. If i do i'm pretty certain i'll go for a remap but i hear the Diesels smoke like mad when remapped. Can anyone who's had the remap done let me know some feedback please.

Cheers, Gaz

no smoke chief due to DPF (diesel particulate filter)

Great cheers for that. I've just seen a few mapped astra diesels that look terrible! Could be very tempted by the 175 now! Looking at around 200bhp remapped then with a **** load of torque?

Casey-R26
21-11-2008, 18:49:30
my gt is over 200 bhp with as much torque as the higest powered R26's :)

Over 200bhp from a GT - damn I bet that thing shifts!

Ive driven the GT and 175 a few times. Thought the GT was a cracking little motor even with 'only' 150bhp

They must seriously pull hard running those high torque fig's and 200+ bhp

Does it not effect mpg??

Got mine done yesterday and all i can say is:bowdown: To Paul he is a:sorcerer: when it comes to remaps
cant post the graph as my scanner is broke but he managed to get a still not properly loosend up DCI from 162.5 to 202.6bhp and the extra torque is magnificent as stated earlier in this thread it has totaly transformed the way the car drives cant wait to get some more miles on the clock and see what it goes up to then

Thanks again Paul
Nice to meat Jaybyme too

the diesels normally take a good few thousand miles to really start loosening up,so I would expect your car will only get better.
Good day out even if the KFC was a bit dry lol
Tasted wonderful after all the bratwurst I've been eating

The KFC was real bad, that stuff you eat in germany must be awful if you thought it was wonderful lol.
