I have a DCI 175 and i am trying to fit an amp.

I have read the pipercross guide to removing the airbox, there is a plastic pipe that runs from the front of the car (cold air feed?) to the bottom of the air box and this is hindering removing the airbox, obviously people have managed do this, how do you solve this problem.

Not sure if it's the same as the R26 etc,
The part number 1,if the same, should come off.

Yes that is the one, the problem is the other end of that pipe (front of car) is attached to a complex arrangement of pipes that are hindering it coming forward so i can lift the airbox out.

so is it standard or has someone added a cold air feed to the front of the car.?
Must be someway of removing it ?

Sorry, That pipe is attached to another pipe which runs to the front of the car, i can only imagine that it is used to get cold air from somewhere.

i didnt remove mine, i just straightened out a coat hanger, taped the amp wire to the hanger then pushed it through, pretty easy actually!
