had a loot on rs tuning and they remap a 120dci to 150bhp just wondering if anyone has had it done? and if its worth it

i had mine remapped up in scotland though. Its churning out 145bhp and 360lbs of torque. its well worth while getting it done.

Had it done over a year ago now and the car still runs like a dream. Im well pleased with it. Would defo look into having the GT remapped.

jimbo had his meggy dci120 superchipped,and that was stunning car to drive afterwards,with no reliability issues whatsoever.

A place in hillington estate called DASHFIXER. I took it back to them and they said it wasnt the chip causeing the car to cut out. I gave it into my mate and he done a full service on it and since then it hasnt cut-out (touchwood)

there webiste is interesting. Sell alot of "mileage correction" software.

the guys at Dashfixer are alright guys, but a bit of cowboys, they said they could easily get 260bhp out of mine in no time, i agreed they probably could, on theyre very optimistic dyno :dazed002:

i know i don't know them but their website doesnt fill me with confidence.

120 is the older 1.9L engine. the GT 150 and the RS 175 are the newer 16v 2.0L engine.

My 1.9 has smallar engine and 8 valves but the gt and rs have a 2.0 and 16 valves!!!! but do not underestamate the power on my little engine LOL!!!

was there for my mates puma engined fiesta, they never mapped it so i dont have any say on that point, but they did RR it and the @wheel results seemed decent, but the flywheel estimate was pretty OTT.
very nice place though, nice and clean, will be taking my car there for a nice figure to brag about lol :biggthumpup:

Had My RS175 done at RS TUNINIG in Leeds the other day RR tests showed 162.5bhp pre map and 202.6 after and huge torque gains of around 65ft/lb
worth every penny just get it done

I thought the drive shafts on the 175dci were limited to around 270 ft lbs?

I have a 120 and it was remapped before I bought. I have had no issues at all. Cant compare it to a standard 120 because I have never driven one. turbo kicks in at about 1,200 rpm and pulls all the way to about 4,500. Never taken it higher than that as it sounds like its about to explode.

So if i was to get the 150 mapped what sorta out put would i get?

My 175 cost just over £300 and came away with over 200bhp and massive torque gains will be worth every penny

the remap stats for both the 175 and 150 look very impressive.

I got my 175 remapped at power tune in hamilton. I've had a few problems tbh, when i first got it done i had problems with the DPF, though it's sorted now and it's running like a dream!. As long as you give it some beans now and again it's fine!.
Chris do you drive a grey gt cause i seen one drive through burnside a few months ago, also seen a sky blue one about!

it might have been my sky (mineral) blue one you seen in burnside. I live a couple of minutes drive away up the eastkilbride road and drive through there at least twice a day. Although a few weeks before i got my car i seen one the same colour parked on kings park ave. Mind you ive not seen it again.

I have had my 1.9 dci sport tourer (130) re-mapped by a company called Angel Tuning as they were ''on their way back from a job'' i got it done for £220. I might try and go to FCS and get it dyno'd to see what its putting out now. I was told to expect gains of about 30-40 bhp. Car has lots more poke now! the only thing i have noticed is if i boot it at any rpm at any speed there is about a second delay.... then the magic happens! Ha ha. I got my wife to time me from standstill to 60 (with lots of shopping in the boot) and managed 8 seconds with a poor take off. Not bad for a diesel estate! (Wife now thinks i am a twonk tho!)

I would do some research if I was you, see who can offer you guarentee and also power for your money.

I found one company on the meganeownersclub.com forum, they wanted £356 for a remap on a dci 80 but all I would be getting is 23 bhp and 40lb of torque

154 HP :) had a few issues with the boost pressure but he fine tuned it till that sweet spot was found, think it was an extra 30 ft pound of tourque aswell. Result!
