no the GT comes in a petrol 165 and a diesel 150.

its the same engine in the diesel GT 150 & RS175. The RS175 has your RS suspension, brakes, wheels etc.
The GT is a normal megane with better suspension and a body kit.

You could replace whatever parts in the 150 engine and remap it to be the same at the RS175 but you wont have the handling or brakes of the RS.

I was informed the 175 dci rs compared to the GT 150 dci has bigger injectors - probably why the mpg is rated much lower.

Is that the only difference between the two?
I would have assumed the turbo was larger on the 175....
Does anyone know if the clutch is the same on the GT DCI as the 175?

it is a different turbo.

as well as brakes, wheels, suspension, steering and a few other things.

The 175 basically has all the things a normal RS has upgraded from a normal meg.

The GT is basically a normal megane with tweaked steering, suspension and body kit.

What about the clutch?
Are there many ppl with remaps? If so is there much/anything going wrong with the car?

there are very few people with the GT never mind many with remaps. Those who have had it remapped seem happy with it. I tried to remap mine with henkes tuner box. The problem was he'd never actually had a GT150 to test it on. So i ended up having to crawl into reno to get my car fixed with an injector code error. i got my money back but i believe henke has now properly tested his tuner with the gt150 and it now works.

tbh i'd probably to go to paul at rstuning to be on the safe side. As i said there as so few GT150s on the road paul probably has tuned the the most.

I was thinking about getting mine remapped, and RSTuning do seem to offer the best service, but it's not really that cheap as you'd expect, so still deciding whether its worth it!

If you have the money it'll be worth it.

If that makes any sense at all. :D

If i lived closer to leeds and had the money i'd have had it done ages ago.

Would quite like the remap, a nicer sounding exhaust and to lower it.

Just had my GT150 remaped at Pendle Performance. The car is totally transformed. The car revs far more smoothly and the power delivery is absolutely incredible. Through the gears, the car is an absolute beast and motorway performance is lterally breathtaking. It feels like a turbo'd petrol as opposed to a diesel, and now has a much wider power band revving right through the range hard, and I mean hard.
Had I not driven my brothers 150 dci (who was also mapped by Pendle) I would not have believed it was the same car. I say this now, categorically, to anyone who is considering having their 150 / 175 dci remapped - do it! Go to Pendle Performance and you will not be dissapointed. This guy writes all his own maps - they are not 'off the shelf' so to speak, and are written specifically for each individual vehicle. I have no involvement whatsoever with this place by the way! Just go .........

Sounds good mate, what power is yours putting out now?.

I've not had it RR'd yet after the map, but it was 164bhp before. It must be the best part of 200bhp now though. (My bro's was 198bhp after his was mapped there). I'll propbably get it done in the not too distant future out of curiosity, but I'm not in any rush to be honest. It drives so well it's almost hard to explain. Well worth the money :)
