: Replacing Headlight bulbs

Hello,

Anybody tried to replace the headlight bulbs yet? I've not got xenons and the headlights (particularly on dipped) are hopeless - so much so that I'm beginning to think they're out of alignment & permanent set too low. I used to have a fiesta and replaced the bulbs with halfords +30%'s, so I bought a set of +50%'s for the megane (and they're UV compliant so they won't melt the things), and tried to fit them this afternoon.... :(

I've looked on the megane owners club and found their instructions, I've also read that this is so difficult that people take them to the dealers and get charged £50. I've taken the plastic cover out of the wheel arch and sat there for 20 minutes trying to find a safe way to do this so I didn't drop anything...no luck.

Anyone got any advise (or know someone triple-jointed)?

Thanks

John

Cheers for the reply, i'm in Warrington, Cheshire. Did you do anything else other than take the covers out of the wheel arches? - there's stuff on the owners club about removing the black plastic covers above the lights but I can't see how that'll help, there's just metal under there, no real way through......

i took out the battery to get to the right hand side lamp and removed the washer bottle neck the other side and the bit of black plastic around it, there is also a black ring that the bottle neck sits in, i cut this of in order to get my hand in, dont affect anything cos wen you put the black bit of plastic back the bottle top still locates its self in the hole, should take you around an hour to do if you got good know how on changing h7 bulbs in tight spaces.

if you fancy a trip out and supply the bulbs ill fit them for nothing, just not the 501 side light bulbs

andy.
