poor tracking and balencing. if something else was wrong a decent geometry seteruper would have noticed

had it all checked again (wheel balancing and tracking) and its still dragging to the left.

the steering wheel actually turns to the left on its own when i let it go,

any more ideas anyone?

Get it to a decent garage. It's a multilink set up, so there is a very high chance one of the links would have bent. If its not that, it'll prob be the steering rack arm. Other options are driveshaft/hub/wishbone, but the others should give first.

sounds silly but is the tyre pressure on the left side wheels the same as the right. might aswel check, could save your self some money
