How ridiculous would that look???
I'm thinking at least the end pipes would need shortening as the bottom of the Sporthatch bumper curves in more than that of the 225/RS. So an unmodified RS backbox would probably have its endpipes protruding way too far from a Sporthatch bumper?
The GT has a regular Sporthatch-shaped bumper but with centre exits. Has anyone made a comparison on how much lower (if any?) the endpipes of the GT are in relation to the 225/RS?
The reason I'm playing with this thought is that I have a stainless steel 225/RS performance backbox, but my car is a regular Sporthatch and I'm having second thoughts about fitting my glassfibre 225 replica bumpers......

I trial-fitted mine last summer and noticed the same as you Stevie: rear one easy, front one not so.... Even the shape of the front bumper ends didn't seem to match with the front wing, seemed like they're at slightly different angles! :(

the gt rear bumper slots where the exhausts come through is lower than the 225 so it would have to be modded to suit if your buying the gt back bumper.

Managed to buy a genuine, unused Renault rear bumper for the RS off eBay France at an affordable price! If it ever arrives (in more or less one piece hopefully...) to our peripheral Finland, then I've no trouble fitting the backbox after all. Other than visiting an exhaust centre to have a 2"-to-2.75" enlarger made and welded to the original 2.0 16V middle section.
Now anyone have a genuine Phase 1 RS front for sale...? ;)

The RS bumper did arrive intact and turned out to be an unused, primered, genuine Renault article! Even came with the advertised grilles and the tow hook cover! Plus it only took a week from the purchase to arrive from France to Finland, so I must say I'm quite pleased with the deal! :jump:

The grilles are Phase 1, but I have some Phase 2 grilles waiting which I think look slightly better so they will be used instead.
The fitting (of both bumper and backbox) will need to wait for two months until the roads get cleaner, as I don't want to have the nice backbox and endpipes get all dirty from the road grime just yet. Must say it'll be a long wait though.... Well, at least gives me time to study the subject and learn whether I need to fashion some sort of plastic extenders for wheel arch liners to meet with the wider RS bumper?
