: 225 wont start with clutch pedal depressed..

hi all, new to the site but here's my prob..the car wont start with the clutch pedal depressed (nowt happens), its fine on the brake pedal but im worried that will go next an i'l be stranded! its booked in to stealers in 3 weeks but is there anything simple that it might be that i could fix myself?

I think there is a little micro switch behind it, check the wire has not come out of the block as this can happen, if it is in give it a little wiggle and try it again.

I think the wires are too short i think theirs a quick fix for it, just lenghtenit
could be talking complete sh*t though!

I had something similar happen on mine as the cruise control stopped working, that was something to do with the connection from the accelerator I think

like shiny said have a look to see if wire is loose or give it a filldle or if poss swap them over and see if they work the other way round

The wire is too short and will have snapped or ripped out of the plug that is on the Clutch pedal easy fix i did mine myself but just take it in to the stealers if your not sure . My mates went this week and he got his done ...

Yep,

I've had to take my 225 back 3 times for this to be fixed. Apparently, the third time, they actually lengthened the wire! :roll: :roll:

thanks for the replies! I'll wait til it go's in then tell them that i want the wires lengthened also!!
