Not sure. But if its trying to compete with Ford RS Focus thats 5.9sec, 167mph, 300Bhp, 2.5ltr @ £25k

I do hope Renault Sport have something up there sleeves.. 250bhp dosent sound like much of an improvement at all. It sounds like the same engine. I cant see more than 0.5sec being taken away with the extra 25Bhp if it is the same engine. Tops, I think it will be 155mph.

If your not taken in by the very stylish looks, the smart money might be to take advantage of the depreciation market on say an R26 and give it a little stage 2.

Think i remember reading the new Meg is lighter than the old one.

I think i remember talk of 300bhp too... but that hasnt happened. Looks heavy on the vid. they have put back that center console they had on the very old ones... Also very big back window and 19" alloys as an option... my hunch is it is a tad heavier rather than ligher. We shall have to see.

Just seen they also have a new engine too. so we shall have to see what all this means on the tarmac.... I hope it is lighter and quicker than the Focus RS.

According to Parkers guide the R26 is 1345 kg

And the 2litre New Megane coupe is 1320 kg

How reliable that is might be questionable
