Need help please guys....

Just received my secondhand lights off of the bay. Took one of the rears from the car to compare it and the original has one plug with 5 wires going in to it and the lexus has 4 or 5 bulb holders (per side) and the same amount of plugs! Now i consider myself pretty good with electrics but this has stumped me. Is there some sort of multiplug adaptor out there i can get or am i going to have to start cutting wires and fitting connectors?

Any help would be great, thanks. :not_worthy:

I would defo prefer the standard ones to lexus lights, IMO they just make the whole car look chavy, i don't know how old you are but thats something a 17/18 yr old will do.

Not even if i get them tinted black, to match the colour of the car?

Back to the original question....

My guess is, when new, there was an adapter cable of some sort with the lights but the midnight sourcing team who ripped them off someone's car didn't bother to take them with the lights as they were in a bit of a hurry? ;D

There's very little chance of finding a suitable counterpiece for the Megane's own connectors so yes, you'd need to cut the original wires. But, as everyone else here recommends, I wouldn't do that if I were you...

Well having got a set of black 'Lexus' lights, mine went straight on mate. Just had a clip that attached directly.

Just in defence of them, I think if they're done right they can look ok. I still prefer these to the standard lights against inferno paint -

I must admit i have the same ones as alex and they went straight on. Seemed like a good idea at the time but a set of ph2s will be here tomorow. Only £45 each from Reno. A far better option me finks.

Honestly do you know what a bunch of pretentious w@nkers you lot come across as. Its personal preference, and it was a question which didn't entail "what are your 2c on Lexus lights"

this is going nowhere tbh.

some like them, some dont. i'M all for open debate but not when its personal.

they should as above plug in, if not your best bet is to take the car to a mechanic with electronics knowledge who will do it for you
