The std fit 18" as shown on the first photo are OK - its the 19" "spiders web" design that looks naff (and will be at least £500 extra)!

Will be interesting to see if the ride quality and handling is better on the smaller rim - it was on the previous and is on the current M3 but it doesn't stop 80% of cars having bigger rims ordered.

One of the more talented drivers on the grid. No doubt.

he is talented, but not so talented that he can be as cocky as he is, ala ronaldo

sort of comes with the territory to be honest.....look at michael schumacher.....the guy was an @rse (imo) and sometimes a borderline cheat he guy was an awesome driver.

nar what i was sayin is that ronaldo IS the best player in the world, so he can be as cocky as he likes, and get away with it, alonso, is debatable weather or not he is, which is why no one likes him

I do think Messi is better than Ronaldo not by much but he is generally even more dangerous

Micky

absolutly not, ranaldo is by far the best, him and rooney are a lethal team

Anyway back to the topic.

I actually like the black wheels, its the plastic between the grill and the bonnet i'm nott keen on. Can't explain why.

Thats my opinion anyway.

Still very tempted but for the milage i'm planning on doing in it i half tempted to buy an Escort Cosworth just for the fact i've always wanted one and it'll prob only come out on special occasions.

I quite like the wheels too. Much more striking than the standard ones which look underwheeled for the car.

Also, is that the new flat yellow then?

Am i right in saying liquid yellow isn't going to be available as its being built away from Dieppe?

Seems a bit strange to drop your 'halo' colour at the launch of a new model.

The 18" wheels would be the ones for me.

The 19 inchers look silly and busy imo and surely must compromise the ride and handling somewhat. Personally, I was quite suprised that Renaultsport even approved the option for that size, though I'm sure they balanced the effects they might have with the potential demand for 'big rimmzzz'. I just don't see a need for anything bigger than 18" on any hatch, or much else. major step up in the amount of wonga required for new tyres as well.

Looks like my stay on Meganesport.net won't run on
into the next gen Meg RS.
I do truly detest it. :(
But maybe seeing it in the flesh may change my mind ( i hope so)

true,

but having said that, a cupped RS Twingo rolls on 17s which seems a massive wheel for such a small car and short wheelbase, and although ride is poor, its not exactly a bad drive is it.

surely 19s on a car as big as the megane isn't too bad then considering that?

well if it comes with the option of 19" you know someone is always going to try and fit 20" on there. there's even been people on this forum wanting 19's on their megane.

Also doesn't the VXR Astra have 19"?????

Bluestar ;)
