Having seen Andy's rather smooth and baby like rear end I'm toying with de-badging the Meggy. What are your thoughts?

I take them off everytime looks muuuch better and makes it easier to clean.

People don't know what the 225's are anyway so take them off and show everyone what it is with your right foot planted

I'm a big fan of de-badging cars as its one of those mods that is simple and can really change the back of a motor.

I'm kinda impartial to it on the Megane but i'm gonna leave mine :D :D

Either way looks good.

I actually like havin the badges on the back of mine......and since its not me that washes the car its not a major hassle. £5 for a full wash by hand you cant go wrong.....and they know me there as my ole man gets his car washed like 2 times a week there.

I just took the megane badge cos I thought it looked a bit gay. quite like the renaultsport one cos its a bit chunkier.

Shiny gave a good tip to use hot water or a hair dryer to warm the badges up first, this way you can stick them back on if you don't like it.

27-01-2006, 23:39:50
might have a go myself. Dont know how im gonna get the hair dryer to work outside though. Anyone got a spare extension lead?

removing the reno boot badge makes the car look really wide. i think just keeping the renaultsport badge is a good idea

ste01
28-01-2006, 16:28:45
cleaning the car yesterday snapped the letter M from the word megane, so was I to drive around with egane on the boot for a week or two or remove it, ended up removing the rest of the letters and it definately looks better and it does seem to give the illusion that the back end is wider.

Jon

After fitting my hid kit today and using andy's instructions which made the job easlier please tell me how you removed your megane letters

Richard

Jon Seal
04-02-2006, 17:06:59
just got a little screwdriver under the letters (putting pressure away from the car body onto the plastic) the letters come off and leave a residue of black sticky stuff that I picked off and then used a bit of tar remover to get the last bits of sticky off, quick bit of polish and thats it!

shinyautos.com
04-02-2006, 17:23:44
Also if you put some hot water over the badges before you take them iff they come off easier, or a hairdryer helps too.
