Do you reckon a 5 door version of this car is in the pipeline or do you reckon that there would not be a market for it????

I think it would be a shame not to think about a 5 door version as it would enable people with families like myself to still experience the renaultsport megane effect like I currently am doing with my 5 door 225.

I think it's only based on the 3 dr.

TBH I think 5 doors look rubbish anyway, 3 doors look more sporty.
I have a family and mines a 3 door, that way I know that when the kids are in the back then I know thats where they are staying and not opening doors.

Thats why 5 door cars have childlocks and window locks.

I regularly carry passengers in the back so went for a 5 door 225, I hate people climbing into the back of a 3 door, scuffing seats and standing on sills, not to mention having to get in and out to let them in/out.

I have a 5dr and regret the decision massively. I find it easier to put the kids in the back of my wifes 3dr 205 than lifting them in sideways through the back doors of the meg.

The 3dr looks infinitely nicer too. IMHO of course.

The thing with the 5 door is that the doors are 'shorter', meaning you can open them all the way easier and in tighter spaces, giving you more room to load the kids up.

they say on the rs forum that a 5 door won't be appearing?

Aside from the boosted Megane, Renault is planning on unveiling a special edition five door version of the Megane RS at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. Following their official debuts both the three and fiver door models will go into production in November.

I had a 5dr before my R26,
And even though the kids are now 4 & 7 and get in on their own
the 5dr was by far and away easier.
I sometimes wish i still had it :(
And for those who say 3drs look sportier,
Well the sleeper factor surprises a lot of people thinking
its just another family 5dr hatch ;)

As Steve says. There will defo not be a 5 door version.

I heard they were going to introduce the 5dr at some auto show that's coming up. Also, there were some spy phots of the 5dr RS version. It was with the standard body on, but wheels and brakes gave it away.

I'll try to search for the pic and post it here.

Im sure they would be testing one in Dieppe. As for production. There is no plan for it.

you could always put babybob in the front and I could be demoted to the rear!!!!!!

i saw an article saying that they are going to be making a 5 door RS will try dig it out :)
