TBH the cars a WSR are never well prep'd. When I see the White R26 last year I changed my order, regretted it since. Strange what a good detail can do, plus the pics of the silver one posted a few days back looked very nice.

I know everyone is open to opinion but i reckon Renault have done a great job on the new 250. I think it looks really good, the rear end is a bit astra like but i think its a nice rear end with that big exhaust in the centre. Then the front is really chunky/wide looking i think it looks quite aggressive/quick. In a few years im pretty certain i'll upgrade to one after my 225 cup. I love it in Silver and Blue

i Hated the yellow it looks bad, curbed wheels, swirled to high hell. but i actually liked it, and her in doors has given the green light to the idea.

The yellow was real cack!!!!
It wasn't that the wheel were kerbed or the swirl marks,
It's that i just dont like it,
As said before theres to many panel joints,It looks to much
like the rest not individual enough,
Remember when the ASS Meg was released it was so different.

Firstly thanks Renault for a great free day out (as long as that truvelo near the circuit didn't get me!)

Really enjoyed my test drive in the renaultsport twingo, what a cracking little car, the handling is spot on.

Agreed the 250 wasn't as impressive in the flesh as I hoped it would be, looks far too astra-ish at the rear and dare I say a bit ugly at the front (those LED fairy lights are pointless and a blatent rip off from audi) and that 'big' centre exhaust is all very well from a distance, but when you look at it close up it's just a normal exhaust with a large surround stuck in front of it. Lets hope it sounds better than that. Gotta love the seats in it though, the same body hugging ones as in the Clio 200, look far superior to the ones in my R26.

Also had to laugh at the WSR edition megane, a normal megane with a bad bodykit. The centre exhaust was a fake bit of plastic with the real exhaust hiding behind the bumper? I don't get it, either make it a proper centre exhaust or don't! (saying that it did fool naith when it drove past the collectors area which was quite funny!)

I think the new RS is one of those cars that look better or worse depending on colour.

I am sure silver/blue/white would look fantastic! Especially white with black wheels

The yellow was grim IMO, got pics and will get them on later, on the other hand the white WS version looked well smart.

I wasn't taken aback by the car at all, the sheer size of it was a bit of a suprise. Very bulgy and bordering on flabby.

I think the red or silver ones in the pictures posted here from the ring last week looked far better, the solid yellow looked dull and lifeless in comparison to the Liquid yellow Clios and Megane Trophy surrounding it in the tent. I'm still adamant the 19" wheels look stupidly OTT, but since they're an option, it's no big deal for me. I'm sure the drive will be an absolute winner though, but after my first encoutner with it in person...it'll have to be.

The best cars in there were the clio 200, the clio cup, the Megane Trophy race car and the laguna which i thought looked like an S5 Audi

I just had a look at some videos of the racing Meganes in our shape and the 250 and they look amazing, the 250 racing megane looks so aggressive, plenty of vids on youtube if you wanna see

I did however love the look of the Laguna Coupe!!!!

I have to agree with Jono tho on the meg 250. Its just not special enough. The 225 and R26 look so different from all the competition out there, this new 250 just looks like the astra and cupra, the focus and civic are all the same shape - there's no individuality there anymore.

Im 19 and I could of gone for a type r, VXR, M3 etcetc

But i went for the megane, because of the individuality, and i think its the only hot hatch with that!

Im the only person round my end with one, maybe 1-2 more with older owners, but i just love having something different, ive always been like that, i chose the new swift sport over stuff like the C2 VTS etc...

I dare to be different, but renault have well and truely put a stop to that factor with their new 250...

RS200 on the other hand, ....

I'm liking the 250 and think that I'll go for one next year if the 335d's haven't dropped to within my price range (second hand of course) but I guess you'll never get everyone liking the same thing. Hell I've got a customer that loves TR7's which is fine by me but I wouldn't have one.

But like it or not we all know it'll be one of the best handling hatches you'll be able to buy.

I'm thinking white with the black 18s. Though the grey is growing on me.

nope its meerly becuase the paint shop in spain cant cope with the stop start thats needed for LY, it goes through the paint shop 4 times.

LY is around on the 200 same as Ailen Green.

I actually like the new megane RS but dont love it and i have no intention of ever buying one. Though who no's it might grow on me in the future.
When i seen the current megane Rs i was blown away and wanted one.
The new one looks like it's trying to be a bit of everything else, VXR, Type R, Scirocco i think the wheel arches even look a bit focus RS.
I think the Scirocco is a stunning car and is the best by far of the new shape hot hatches!!!.

i think by the sounds of it on here renault arent going to sell very many of the 250's which is a shame for renault really...

it will sell. its watered down bland looks will appeal to more people than the current mk did.

people on here are going to be biased over the mk 2 (understandable)... and renault have openly admitted they are going after sales this time.

hi mate, i didnt realise Renault admitted they've gone after sales and yeah i understand where Renault are coming from.

thinking about it now, you'll get a lot more 'older' people buying one of these cars too as it can be used as a fast family car a bit like the focus ST...

not a bad move from Renault i suppose actually to boost figures.

i dont think that the 250 will struggle at all tbh.
as im sad when the ph1 225 came out our md had a ff inferno one and it was the only one i ever saw until 6 months later.then as soon as the trophy was released i saw more and more and now look at them theyre a cult car and very very under estimated.i feel this is what will happen as news spreads of how good the current 250 rs actually is
there is one factor with the new 250 that will make enthusiasts realise it wont dissapoint........................................ the little rs badge!most try to copy none ever beat.................................i thank you!
