: 250 vs world series
I know we all have mix opinions when it comes to the 250, some love it, others hate it some and some are unsure. Like others I couldn't wait for it to been unvailed earlier this year and when it was, well it didn't blow me away. I kept on saying to myself, wait untill I see it and maybe it will grow on me but it just hasn't. I really wanted the 250 it was a perfect replacement for my 225.
Today I had a look at the World Series Coupe and it blew me away it looks like how the 250 should of looked, kitted all around and not overly done. After a test drive I had to order one.
Can't belive I took the plundge, it looks amazing in white only prob is it's a 1.6 arggh oh well I have to be sensible at least once in my life.
frizz 10-07-2009, 22:41:20 Got any pictures of it?
You could allways do a engine transplan. Lol
Juan Carlos 11-07-2009, 01:28:00 Is this one?

Mate - the 250 looks much nicer IMHO.

The 250 really does has mixed opinions, I don't like it i've honestly tried to convince myself for months, belive me it pains me that I don't like the 250 because I really wanted one. It looks to over done it's almost like renualtsport were out of ideas and they thought, f'u** it let's just glue on a big ass kit. It looks like the kit was made buy some ebay kid down the road, so many joins and joint. Saying all that though the drive of the the 250 is going to be amazing real shame about the outside.
What is funny is I hated the 225 shape at first and then a few years later I woke up one day and fell in love with it.
Glowin 11-07-2009, 21:30:22 I think I'm with Fabio. But it's just a matter of personal opinion. As long as you're happy that's all that matters. I'll be happy too, just in a 250 instead.
GibboR26 11-07-2009, 22:27:08 Sorry, but it definately doesn't do anything for me. The bottom white bit of the rear bumper just looks like it's been badly bolted on to the grey plastic (it doesn't even sit flush with the rear arch) and the centre exhaust is just for looks, the real exhaust sits behind the bumper pointing at the ground!!!
I'm not a fan of the 250 either though, but do think it has smoother lines than this WSR edition.
All IMHO of course!
MeganeChick 13-07-2009, 14:05:52 when i saw the WSR edition in the metal i have to say it did look really nice! the rub strips would be nicer colour coded, wheels arent that great and shame its a 1.6 lol but it seems to have cleaner crisper lines compared to the 250
BlackRat250 13-07-2009, 14:06:49 bit of a shame the exhaust exit was only a bit of plastic.
Norvern Rob 13-07-2009, 19:06:00 Very similar concept to the Civic Type-R Championship White Edition? (without the decent engine!)
Graeme 13-07-2009, 21:28:28 Not for me, but tbh I think the wheels are the weakest link. They would be better suited to an early noughties era modded corsa sxi.
Some nice new wheels from the 250 would make it look better IMO.
I want to like the 250 aswell, but if i'm honest its a disappointment for me.

I agree.. I will be changing the wheels at some point, shame about the exhuast not sure why they did that? In the flesh it does look sexy, as you said the lines are much more cleaner and crisper than the 250.
I actually like the rubber stripes on the white.
The thought of me driving a 1.6 for the next couple of years has been playing on my mind for weeks, so I've decided to scrap the idea. I still don't like the 250 so I'm going for the Magane Coupe Tce 180 with full bodykit. As the engine is basically a reworked dumb down version of the R26 I figure I'll be able to get some good remap results.
Oh where do you guys go for remaps, how much does it cost(been looking on the net..anywhere between £230 - £400) and what bhp do you think I could get out of the 180bhp coupe, I think about 230bhp?
Can you believe I got over £5000 off the car because of a benefit due to my work having a car lease deal with LloydsTsb..£22,000 car for £16,000... staff discount is great :D
meganeturbojkd 27-08-2009, 07:29:28 250 for me although the world series is nice
Charlie 27-08-2009, 08:45:11 I like it, but I think the badging looks a bit cheap.
I think it would look better with out the side shirts and splitters stuck to the bottom.
I couldn't have had the 1.6 though, must be the worst engine they have made, low 30's mpg and zero grunt.
The 1.5dci is miles better.
I agree that the 250 doesn't look great, but i also didn't really like the 225 at first but I love it now.
The 250 is more about looks though, i'm sure it'll drive & handle very, very well.
