Hello all,

Am off to the Ring on Monday and am just wondering what you guys would check over on the car before heading out there?? I have been there once before but only completed a single lap before a track closure ended the fun...

Tires are good and brake pads fine but just wondering if there is anything I should make sure to look over before heading off for 3 days of fun.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

P.S. Am waiting on Paul to turnaround my standard ECU map which I sent him into the magical Stage 1 RST-Map, praying it comes before Monday!!

Advice - Take it easy & don't cook the brakes into Adenau Bridge.

Don't push 2 hard on swendenkruez.

Apart from that flatout.

Don't push it.

Many view it as a Badge of Honour circuit and mess up big time.

yeah - dont crash!
and if you do make sure you have a large overdraft facility on a card you personally are carrying with you.

I nearly canned it in the phlantzgarden on the hump (the car does not brake when the wheels are in contact), on my 3rd lap 9min.12sec.

Learned my lesson. put the stop watch away as you may break your car & yourself. But certainly no records.

It takes ages to learn the ring & thats why I followed a leon at 8 am onto the circuit by 8.30am it was a write off on the approach to Aremberg.

I was lucky & did not can my car. I have learned to respect the Ring.
