Hi people

Ive just been in a Renault main dealer asking about the 250 and when it is likely to be released and he said that they doubt it will be October now more like mid December at the earliest....

Is this true? anybody else heard this?

Hi. Customer ordering is most likely to be December. Demo should be in dealerships around late October.

what about the rumours of an rs275? I was gona jump straight on the order books for the 250 but now am going to hold out for the 275? any one clear the rumour up?

Whichever variant you get it will be superceded within 6 months :D

Last week Renault told me it would be on sale the beginning of November.
No one confirmed or denied rumours of the 275.
I'm going to hang on and wait to see what happens.
Sometimes it's best not to jump straight in and buy a new model as there could be small teething problems with the car.
Plus I can read all the tests that will be out soon,Rs250 V Seat Cupra,Golf R20 etc,etc.
Then by the time I've made my mind up news of the 275 might be out.

i went to toomey in southend at weekend and was told the delay was down to a problem with the glue they have used on the body kit! apparently it was falling off under hard cornering! lol
Im looking forward too seeing it in the flesh when it comes out :-)

i've got bored of waiting, just taxed mot'd and insured the 225 for another year...roll on the vxr astra II, focus ST mk 3 etc, scirroco r, golf gti r etc...

Thanks for clearing that up, it seems Renault are not using their head,, surely people will want to buy the 275 over the 250?? unless the price hike will be a considerable amount more maybe?

The fact that the glue isnt holding the bodykit on could be ever be a good thing or a bad thing

Im waiting also on a lap time of the N'ring - a extra 25bhp is not going to show up anything between the two variants when I come to think of it

For all you worrying fellas out there I have just had it confirmed to me by EXPERTS on Renaultsport that full details and prices for the new Megane RS 250 will be released at the end of THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what iv been told by PARKS RENAULT Irvine

My dealership is not offering test drives until 15th January 2010 but I am sure bigger dealerships not too far away will be sooner

Be in dealers Nov / dec. Customers in Jan i recon.

The basic 180 coupe is lighter than the 225 and I'm sure the R250 is 20kg lighter than the R26 ?
Anyway with a quoted 0-100km/h time of 6.1secs,which will be 5.9/6.0 secs 0-60mph, it will be fast enough.
Quoted top speed is much higher as well,not sure but I think it was 248km/h

My mate has said that his delaership will have one in late November.

One of the saleswomen ordered it though, so he said it was unlikely to have the Cup chassis and Recaro's though.

Cars will start arriving early December I was looking today and there are a few Renault ordered cars that'll arrive early to mid December however the dealer cars may not turn up until the start of January the release date from memory is the 18th(can't remember the exact date) I susepct that the cars will start arriving at dealers around a week before the official release date or they may send the cars out as and when they can but not allow us to register them until the official launch date.

My demo car is in the factory system but it still has a little bit of flexability re what I can do with the spec but there are no dates showing on the screen with dealer delivery info but all the other cars that were released on the same day for ordering that haven't foiund a home and there are around 11 cars left are showing the dates I've highlighted above for UK port delivery.

Still its not that long away.

I should imagine some of those will be the press cars !I suspect not Dave due to the fact that the cars we dealers see are the one's that we can order for showroom stock and demo. Renault UK cars wouldof been taken care of by now

Regarding a comment I made elsewhere re the car I've ordered I'd of liked the option of having Recaro seats but on the version codes and options page of RenaultNet it sadly states that at present on a Cup the seats cannot be ordered
likewise at the moment Cup Chassis Pack's cannot be ordered on the no Cup 250 I susepct again due to Recaro seat issues.. No doubt this will be sorted in time but the first cars coming through for dealers will only have the standard seat setup
