Only 180BHP!

Hang on, an underpowered midship V6 in a Renault thats no quicker than a 182? Havent we been here before? ;)

would be better with a 182/172 engine in it

my thoughts tbh, you could easily get 180bhp from a 182 engine and the lump would weight a lot less than a V8. Saying that you could tweak the V8 well

From another mk1 twingo owner, he's ruined that car! Not sure why he choose such an old engine aswell.
Anyone found any figures on it 0-60, bhp per tonne?

The Rover V8 (originally GM) is a cracking engine and with its aluminium heads and block, it one of the lightest stock engines. Although its design is nearly 50 years old its had an amazing history with variants having been used in F1, Indy, TVR's, Westfields, countless Rovers and Landrover. A cylinder was lopped out of the middle on each bank to make the V6 engines for these Group B rally cars.

All in all, an excellent engine for a transplant.
