Sorry chaps..been away for a while. Anyway I hit the order button as soon as I could actually order a car. And a nice 250 Cup will be with me soon

Chosen to stay with the stock 18's rather than the nice looking 19's for the simple reason that I feel the car will actually handle better on these ala BMW M3:biggthumpup: than the bling bling 19's thougnh these Conti Sport Contact5's seem to get excellenmt reviews in the readups I've managed to look at. Still I know PilotSport tyres are great so no complaints.

Spec wise I've chosen White with Tom Tom(though I've lost the monitor with this option) Nav, Daytime Running Lights, Xenons, AutoDim Rear Mirror, Dual Zone Climate etc..... one thing that looks a little cloudy is the fitment of Recaro's therefore these aren't going on though I've still got a bit of time before flexiblity on the order is removed and I can't do anything else with the spec.

Delivery wise the car should be with us around late December, early January some cars look like they'll hit the ports around early December, release from memory is 15th Jan so I dare say we won't be registering the car until we are told so, what I do feel will happen is that dealers won't be able to call the cars up as soon as they show at the ports, though I'm not 100% certain about this.

As soon as the car with me pics galore will appear and as I write I'm doing my upmost to get the RenaultSport side of our business up and ruinning with a view of hitting the ground running in 2010.

I've had basic discussions with a few people I know within the industry who are supportive and i've also had a word with the lady at RenaultUK who's looking after the R250 program and it seems like things from Renault's end may well appear to really launch the product to help it boost the Megane range in 2010.

What I will say is that I'm really looking forward to getting the car and mixing with as many people as I can to get the message accros that both myself and my dealer group are 100% behind the RenaultSport brand.

Actually I'm at Letchworth(the small little dealership) Ryan not Hatfield(its now St.Albans again as they've re located..... again!!) they won't for now be running one though they've showroom ordered a Megane R250 non cup in silver with 19's for several reasons the biggest one is the demo plan but in our group we are looking to do something quite major with RenaultSport from next year something that once things are in place I'll be able to enlighten you all with but it may also branch out into one day ;) something to do witn Nissan in some capacity or another..

A business plan has been hatched but nothing really will happen until sometime early nexy year but I'm perfectly serious and the thing that really is fueling the fire is all the good press regarding the R200 Clio and the yet to be launched R250.

As for the car yeh your more than welcome to have a look and a spin, according to what I read on Saturday my car should land with me around December 28th thing is(and I'm on a few days holiday at the moment) I can't from memory register the car until mid January

Renault have just announced that they are setting up some core RenaultSport dealer there will be no more than 4 per region, I heard last year that this may well happen and over this year more noises have been made.

Have a look at what Nissan are doing with the GT-R and you'll get the picture as to how exclusive the operation will be plus Renault expect high standards for customer service not only from sales but from service too. Its a big ask but its worth it.

When I joined this forum I only done it after I understood that there would be the opportuinity to live and breath the product through work and this opportunity has been given to us with this recient announcment from Renault.

I've applied on behalf of our dealership our directors are 100% behind us doing it and there will be real benifits for current and future RenaultSport owners and future owners including having all the models on constant show/demo meaning that test drives will not be a problem for customers wishing to sample the goods which I know is a major problem for many.

Re my cars delivery we're going to try to get it before Xmas chances are we'll probably see it now at the start of the year it'll be registered January 15th or sooner if I get the chance:D

Some really nice journalism there.

I wish Evo would make their mind-up - raving about the Focus one minute, and then saying how overrated it is in the new mag... Road presence is something it will always have over the Meg, which is a good reason that I'll never want to own one.

Im sorry - The Focus is an ugly car with a gastly body kit

The Megane looks so much 'slick' than the Focus in them videos. It manage's to have road presense by not using size

Good to hear this is happening.

Knowledge of RS range in the dealership is what must of us on here want. This is now going through Dan, all the dealerships who are interested would of applied and recieved ackowledgment messages back from Renault UK to say that there interest has been noted.

During January sucessful dealers will be notifed that there "Customer Service" standards for both service and sales are up to scratch as this is more than a one trick pony just to sell more cars
its all about a brand awareness something that Ford in the 80's and 90's managed to do with the RS brand and look how that took off. Renault will also be looking at ensuring that the brand is spread accross the country to a degree therefore from what I can understand they'll look at each dealers potentual market opportunities as they would like to ensure that the marketplace is correctly represented. If you'd like have a look at what Nissan are and have been doing then you'll get the idea of what I think #renault are going to be doing http://www.nissan.co.uk/#vehicles/sports-cars

If sucessful as a dealership we'll need to complete an on line assessment and from here we'll be whittled down to a manageable level where each area will have as per Nissan model a dealer within reasonable reach that is right for the job. This of course doesn't stop any dealer in selling the RenaultSport brand, well not to the best of my knowlwdge but it does enable the brand to stand out from the crowd. And if any given dealership doesn't meet the grade then you could potentually lose the coverted RenaultSport backing.

By the end of January I really hope we're sucessful if we are not we're not but it won't stop me carrying on.
