Thinking of getting a 2006 (Oct) 197 in black.
Is there anything to look ( faults/normal problems) at before i go for it?

Yes, a few:

- Recaro wear
- Melting steering wheel
- 'Kangaroo' fault - they skip down the road when cold, an ECU update helps with this
- Alloys blister, but this tends to be the anthracite ones, which a 56 plate probably won't have

Oh and no, the MPG isn't wrong, it really is that bad... :)

Why are you looking to change out of interest?

I would get either a 197 F1 mate or a Full fat with cup pack.

The standard 197's ain't so good.

Some 06 cars are higher tax i believe.

Sorry got to say it im not a fan of them i think you would miss the turbo and the torque. rattles and bangs glovebix lids that bend. seats of poor quaility. kangrooing

The one I've seen is a normal with all the extras.
Pack Grand Tourism, so key-less, xenons, light/rain sensor, and so on. and 37000 klm on the clock (23000 miles) with silver wheels.
It just caught my eye at the garage, so had a quick look, I've no idea what they would offer for my meg, I like my meg, but it's now 5 years old and has 65000 klm's (40000 miles), so a big service is due with the timing belt, and who know what next.
The new meg here is very expensive, and i hardly use the car, I can say an average of less that 10 miles a week, it gets a run when i drive to the UK twice a year!

I would do it again, I loved the clio. I think it was actually my favourate RS I think I prefered it to the megane.

Watch out for the gearbox they can be a pain and go very funny

and whats the damage on that 13995 ??

£13995 lol. £16995. Im at home now but if I can remember right then a new one with all the bit's plus Alien Green (£1200) is about £19500ish. Im sure £16995 can be trimmed slightly. What do you guys think of the colour?

We had the Sisiter car ow sold, a Clio 200 cup in alien green with a black front, black wheels and Recaro's done 500 miles. more your cup of tea me thinks
