Hi Paul. Do you mind giving me some sort of idea of the discount you got? You can PM me or mail me if thats easier (tuftysi@gmail.com).

I'm on the verge of ordering myself and would like to get an idea of the kind of percentage that is realistic and achievable.

Also - I think the car looks great in white with those alloys from the pictures in mags I have seen :)

I can't decide between white and the darker grey colour.

I just not sure on the speedlines - I'm having a 'marmite moment' with them :)

Think I'll spec the visibility pack myself now.

What were your feelings on the Scirocco mate? I would love an R - but cant stretch to that sort of money. The stendard GT for me was too similar to my MarkV GTI and I wanted something different.

Cheers

Si.

I was stuck between the Oyster Grey and White. I was also thinking about the 19's. Issue with the 19's is they look a little rubbish, tyres will be a lot more expensive and the handling won't be as good. But probably won't be that noticeable for normal everyday driving.

You can get some real good discounts at the minute, especially if ordered before the new year with the VAT increase.
