I had the brochure on the VXR models this morning from Vauxhall that I requested from the Autosport show and I have got to say that they are very nice especially the Monaro with the 6.0 V8 engine it dose 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. The Vectra is nice too considering some people think of them has being a reps car the performance for this car is 2.8 V6 Turbo. What do other people think of them?

Got a brochure from my local dealers saying they've got an open day on this sunday (i thought they was open all days), might pop down and have a look at the VXR.

I have to say they have played a good card with the VXR range!!

Although the Vectra is generally a rep kinda motor that VXR is pretty nice. You can't argue with their perfomance figures either :D

our local vauxhall dealer has a vectra VXR in, must say I dont like the look of it, its had a pretty good press, to be fair its prolly better than most of the repmobiles. Must say though I've not seen any VXRs on the road yet, are they still awaiting the first deliveries of the astras or has it all been a bit of a flop?

it goes like stink mate, will walk a standard 225 and be close with one on a remap as they chuck out 265 bhp i think along with the new mazda MPS which has got 260bhp and also goes bloody well

Mate accross the street just got his Astra VXR yesterday and I have to admit it looks a lot nicer than I can remeber. It is in blue (best colour going  ) and he has the 19" wheels.
Not to sure on the inside tho, but he is thrashing it about in Normy so keep your eyes open John and you might see him.

I'd actually doubt that looking at this roadtest from 4Car:

This car didn't feel nearly as swift as the numbers would suggest, they being 0-62mph in 6.5secs and a top whack of 161mph.

Obviously at the top end there is no doubting the quickest car, but as we have a speed limit of 70mph in this country (which we will all religiously stick to of course!!), surely it's how quick you get there that counts :D

Wasn't he talking about the Vectra VXR? The Astra VXR only has 240bhp and doesn't put it through the front wheels as well as the RS225 does. Almost every review i read (used reviews to help me pick the RS225) said that the Megane was a better car than the Astra but neither were as good as the Golf GTI.

P.S. The Golf GTI looks like a girls car IMO
