: Is it worth it??

Well I had my heart set on the RenaultSport Twingo Gordini, love the leather, climate control and other toys this model gets.

Also love the exclusivity of this model, only 200 coming to the UK apparently.

Thing is, it's priced at £14,500 which I think is a hell of a lot of money for this car. Admittedly it does have features above the normal RS Twingo. The thing is I can get a Glacier white Twingo RS with climate control for £12,600 from a broker, very similar spec just not the limited version. Although I doubt they sell that many anyway.

Question is do you think it's worth the extra cash for the Gordini?? As with all RenaultSport specials, it's not going to hold it's value any better than a normal one anyway.

I too have been faced with a similar decision, looking at a new car for me and the gf and I just can't justify the extra.

I like the interior the leather bits etc but can pick a new twingo with cup pack up from a friend, for 10k hopefully so no contest.

Like you say probably won't hold value any better and it's serious £ to start with, you can pick a brand new clio 200 with options up for that on renaultsport.

Yeah but there will be discounts just like there always is. U can get white twingo cups for round 10k. If it was me and could afford it id go for the gordini just to be different.

i agree mate the cup is a great buy at a shade under 10k but 14.5k is a little steep although if exclusivity is your bag your onto a winner!

See this is the thing, the sensible side of me says go for a normal Clio 133 with Cup packs. I can get one from a broker with climate control and Cup pack, in Glacier white with the black & white pack for about £12,700 new. Have found the price for a Gordini from a broker yet, if they can even get them.

So say I can't get a Gordini version from a broker, I'm looking at £14,500 but that's without the Cup pack. Although you get full leather, climate control and cruise control as standard but the Cup pack would be another £665 so I'd be going without it on a Gordini!!

Sensible is the Glacier and exclusive but overpriced would be the Gordini!! :( Frustrating as I had my heart set on the Gordini version but it's about £1k more than I'm happy to spend on one.
