As i was travelling home, along the motorway, a message popped up on the dash saying M-way Inflate Tyres. And all four tyres highlighted on the dash. As i slowed to come off the slip road it went off and all was back to normal, haven't seen it since. Anyone else expereinced this before?

The 225 has different tyre pressures dpending on the type of driving you do. I do 90% motorway driving to i inflate them to the specified pressure........Check your renaultsport suppliment in the handbook.

ill have a look. i don't do a lot of motorway driving, as you can tell.

motorway driving required a higher pressure in the tyre......might explain it

I do a lot of motorway but aint seen that. The book states 3-4 psi more for motorway driving. I do motorway speeds everywhere anyway!

The tyre pressure sensors are speed sensitive. By this, I mean that they are aware when the car is travelling at Motorway speeds and are calibrated to warn if the pressures are considered too low for those speeds. Generally, manufacturers will recommend a few more psi for Motorway speeds. However, the manual for my Cup, specifies the same pressures for "normal" and "highway" speeds. Do you have 17" wheels? Does the manual specify different speeds?

To be honest mate, haven't looked in the manual yet. We have 18" over here. The theory of speed sensitive sounds right

I got the same message about a week after getting mine. I was on the motorway believe it or not....

These sensors are too clever.
